This series really seemed to suffer by doing reviews of cars (when they did occasionally do reviews of cars) that were 6 months past their release date
Not really a problem unless you always buy new cars within 6 months of release. Some of us buy second hand, I've rarely bought a car that's still in production.

"per se" - Latin for "in itself"

anyway - back on topic, everyone ready to complain that the "best of" tonight is really a "worst of" ?

Thanks for ruining my afternoon, I could have lived in bliss knowing that I was going to watch a new episode until 8pm when the horror was discovered.

The series finished last week, 6 episodes of 6. The next series (of 6 episodes) will be on November/December time as always. smile

Largely nonsense apart from the penultimate sentences

There's still fun to be had, of course. Last night's moon buggy segment demonstrated a nice change of pace and Jeremy Clarkson can be a thoughtful and compelling broadcaster when he chooses to be, but the reliance on the same three or four items is slowly dragging the whole show down

Guardian writer in "Not Top Gear fan" shocker.

In terms of quality I'd put this one at about the same level as the last one. Its certainly not as bad as the Hammond come-back series that was entirely cocking about.

Richard Hammond is as near to a real life Alan Partridge as there has ever been.
