Not having read the books I wouldn't know anyway. But if I did I would be thinking of Emilia Clarke smile

(I never read fiction story books so will never read them anyway)

Also she is 12 or 13 in the book, so its a little bit wrong! As is Sansa.
Its the one critiscm I have of Martin is that he is a little bit explicit with this sort of thing imo however his justification is that it is historically accurate
Yes, I am glad we got rid of those white walkers in the North, and the dragons our of the Peak districtbiggrin

Yes at school, but not since. I still read lots of books but just not fiction. I'd rather watch the film.

Is the Daenerys stuff in the book?
Yes, in fact the bit at the end of ep 2 (where she's on top) is done in the middle of the camp rather than the privacy of a tent in the books... wink

And as mentioned, she's 13.

I'm hooked, it's storytelling at it's finest imo.

+1

I'm converted. I thought it started as a "by the numbers" serial, as evidenced by my earlier post in this thread. But I'm now hooked. Just 3 episodes in.

Now that's impressive.

Do people think that this series is suitable for a 15 year old boy to watch?

His mum finds it uncomfortable watching when he is there and thinks its unsuitable for him.

I can sort of see what she means but think its probably ok.

By modern standards the sex and scenes are fairly tame. The violence is not gratuitous and so far appears to be shown in context with the consequences of actions surrounding each event.

Any self respecting 15 year old will have seen far more graphic sex/violence online

Started reading the first book after seeing episode 1

So far about 1/2 way through and cant believe I have never noticed these books before, absolutely stonking.

I do think Sean Bean is perfectly cast as Stark though

Another cracking episode!

As above, I've also started the first book. I'm enjoying it and the casting is pretty damn good. I can relate to them on screen as I do in the book.

Am I wrong for liking Tyrion the most thus far? He seems like the one I'd most want to share a beer with.

Is he the blonde fella in the leather jacket? He's the one I'd most likely nut.

Christos that was good! The last scene was electric! Was wondering where it was gong and thought that she might be in danger...well that was wrong!

Its interesting as it is starting to get away from the book more with the dialog but its still getting the key parts and the overall tone is excellent.

The casting is excellent, Gregor really did look like a mountain on that horse.

I dont remember the sex scene in the bath being in the book but I will forgive them that indulgence wink

The Imp is a great character but so are all of them really. The way they bring it accross from the book to the film is first class. Several times I ended up with goosebumps and I know what is going to happen!
