Thought it was good entertainment all round smile Would love to have been his co-driver (too slow and legs too long, otherwise..... tongue out), I imagine you'd have to be pretty gutsy to pull it off too.

Never under estimate a woman or what it takes to make it all look so easy tongue out

Did they film his next one does nayone know?

If I remember correctly, sarah bennett bags (co -driver) has done britcar, GT3's and porsche club championship, so i'm presuming a decent peddler?

mind you...your probably tell me she only got those drives because she's a pretty blond

The british seem incapable these days of congratulating someones succes, were more hung up on how much of a corpulant tosser he is or whether he deserves it or not or whether he's nice to his girlfriend....sheeeesh rolleyes

...still couldn't give a st about cyclists....hehe
The modern MM has nothing to do with racing its a regularity promenade. He would have been much better getting a beardy type with a liking for bad jumpers and real ale then a racing driver irespective if she was eye candy or not. The film seemed to show James Martin having as much knowledge of the new MM as you. I'm sure he knows more then the film let on but to be honest he came across like a bit of a wide boy.

Why should I want to congratulate anyone on there financial success if they come across as arrogant. I'd much rather congratulate someone on being a good egg then how they are doing financially, it seem your caught up with the modern obsession of celebrity.

One of my best friends (a commonwealth games cyclist) was permanently brain damaged in a road accident whilst on his bike, by a motorist with exactly the same attitude as yours. Moron.
Didn't you notice the big neon sign saying "don't feed the idiot"? ignore the obvious troll and he will go away.

my comment was in support of the 'lycra clad terrorist' line that has been a well worn joke on here for eons. For you to personalise is a bit pointless if youre missing the pun.

you and your pal can park your high horses over there...

oh I see....your qualified to pass an opinion on the MM, and me being 'as ignorant' as james martin are not

I genuflect in your very presence oh great onerolleyes

Celebrity obsession? jog on, I'm presuming to buy the car he did, win a michelin star etc, etc, he would have had to have worked quite hard for that?I'm evidently in a less judgemental minority that thinks he should be able to spend his money how he likes without being referred to as a corpulent tosser.

If he had made his money from appearing on celebrity skipping on ice or the similiar then I would inclined to agree with your point.

So it's ok for someone to act like an arrogant tosser. So long as they worked hard for their money. But if they had no money, it wouldn't be OK? Is that really your position?

my apologies if i'm not putting my point across very effectivly.

However...no its not alright for someone to act like a tosser, and I didn't think he was particularly. The initial point I was making was that it seemed to me that because he 'had' done well then he 'must' be tosser and I thought that was disappointing as it seems we do this a lot in blighty whether they be chefs,sportsmen/women, politicians, artists and so on and so on.

it was merely that and nothing else

Had a chat with James @ Goodwood last year where he was showing his (I believe ) Paddy Hopkirk mini, and he seemed to be a nice chap.

Sounds fair to me.

But then I dont really have any problems with people being either arrogant or tossers, esp when they SUFFER FROM OC fkING D !

Or havent you got that point? He behaves normally to him, to you he behaves differently because you are normal. Be grateful.
