Well it appears any thread on here involving TG descends into the endless arguments over the show, So just a quick straw poll to see where the PH massive stand on it.

I always enjoy TG for what it is, but I wish they would do the odd real world normal car reviews.

No, I haven't watched it in years. It's just a mindless chat show like so many of others these days.

Although I find a lot of the jokes repeated over and over again now, I still never miss an episode. The repeats on Dave get watched fairly frequently too. Despite its flaws, its still the best programme on TV by a long chalk.

Yep. It's a good way to unwind on a Sunday evening before the rat run on Monday morning.

The show has basically been the same show for the last 2-3 years (as in each new show is exactly the same as the last one).

They should mix things up a bit and get some new writers.

Some of Clarkson's "Jokes" were doing the rounds at my school when I was there 30 years ago biggrin

There is the odd good bit still - but getting rarer frown

Still enjoy it but wish they would get Sabine Schmitz to join them.

Love it - especially when they get a bit retro with the challenge cars.

Watched about 3 episodes from the last series - when I say watched, found my attention wandering constantly.

I watch it to be entertained (not educated) which I find it does fairly well and I don't take it too seriously.

I watch each episode except for the round ups at the end of the series.

If they are gonna do an 8 part series, then get 8 shows worth of material, not 6. The last two are a waste of my time watching stuff again that I have seen in the last 7-8 weeks - even at my advanced age, my memory is greater than my boredom threshold.

There's a mix of good and not so good stuff IMO, but overall I still like the show, the way it is targeted and presented, and take the rough with the smooth.

Agreed. They should make this part a race between 4 of the audience with Stig starting half a minute behind them smile

It is a car show. I like cars. I therefore watch it.

There are so few shows on TV which cater for petrolheads (and let's face it, Top Gear driving supercars around a track and superb country roads are experiences the majority of us won't get, so we have to get it vicariously) it's not a great idea to reject one which does..

Used to until I realised how irrelevant the majority of the features were on it. Best bit used to be the news until they tried to make that funny too. Now a Fifth Gear convert.
