A much improved show compared to last time I watched (Tom Ford was hosting). I will definitely watch again.

Just caught the repeat this morning and really enjoyed it. A vast improvement on previous series, mainly as it seems they've stopped trying to do a cheaper top gear and doing a genuine car show.

Also no Ben Collins this series?

He wasn't in every episode of the last series so, might be in some of the future episodes. Mind, does FG need another presenter - I think not.

Suggest they bag Chris Harris from Evo....before someone else does.
Oh god no. He'd be terrible.

Anyway, good show this week. I think the SD1 bit could have been longer though.

Those RS3 wheels were absolutely shocking.

Thought the programme overall was very good.

Was really good actually. Main criticism is that half an hour is nowhere near long enough.
Works out at about 20 minutes with the ads.

Shame really, it is a superb no-nonsense car show, especially when compared with Top Gear's excesses.

Shame about the mistake in the competition question.

Which of these was a famous WWII bomber?

a) Manchester
b) Lancaster
c) Doncaster

Err... (a)and(b) Ooops.

The Lancaster was a direct development of the Manchester, both of which entered service with the RAF. Although not equally famous as the Lanc, the Manchester is just as famous for its unreliability and tendency to catch fire/lose an engine/or both.
Just half watching this on Sky+ and this caught my attention.

Might cause them some issues if someone decides they want their pound back!

I watched it this morning, I think I prefer it to Top Gear. As has been said it would be better if it was longer, maybe have 10 episodes instead of 20?

If you watch it on plus and forward wind the adds, the competition and bit about the site it is very very short.
Still what's there is good.

A proper car program about cars. I thought it was great, it's like top gear before the format change.

I enjoyed it but I still feel the episodes are far too short now.

I like it.

Firstly you can get it on youtube with no adverts or competitions.

Being short means that they can keep it more up to date with current releases, rather than having to find material to fill.

If it was longer, they'd probably have to make it appeal to a wider audience, with the 'entertainment' tag of Top Gear rather than aiming it at petrolheads.

Yep, glad they are going for a proper car programme, and it was good.

Agreed.
Top Gear without the dicking about.
Not having Fat Ford and Tim the beardy is a huge bonus.

Sounds promising, I'll catch up when back in UK, hopefully the viewing figures will reflect the improvements.

I saw them filming an E-Type Jag on the autoroutes of Northern France (Reims-Dijon) the other day. Look forward to that feature.

Any idea how long this will take to appear on Disco Turbo? No Channel 5 in Ireland…

format's really tight now, back to basics - and a good contrast to TG. But it's under 20 mins once you take out the competition and the coming next - but at least they've taken out the pointless links
