Haha true. I saw it tonight, thought it'd be a brain out at the door job but it was pretty good. Knowing what some of the previous films were like, I was fully expecting Rock to do a People's Elbow at some point. Kinda expected the way it ended, except for the after the credits bit, which sets everything up perfectly for the 6th one

I laughed at that: full throttle, no grip, wheelspin. But wait! Flick on the trusty nitrous and voila - instant grip and away you go hehe

I went to see it on Friday, and agree it is a great movie. The vehicular content is really good, esp. that original Skyline. And did you hear the noise that armoured off-roader made?!

I knew the credits were hiding something! Wish we had waited, but the gf finds it pointless... Look forward to the 6th if it was anything like this one.

Watched this tonight (travelled up in an Evo 8, and back in an impreza to make the experience more authentic) and we all thought it was good.

Best one of the franchise I reckon. Lots more action, guns, explosions, girls :P

Hardly any over Cgi'd race scenes just mental crashes etc.

Deffo stay til the end of the credits!!

Oh, and the Rock is one sweaty mofo, every scene he was soaking with it. laugh

Saw this last night, and thoroughly enjoyed it, and a step away from the origins, but a great step - as id dropping 'the furious' bit from the title. As long as you can accept some "licence". The best of the series, and a good heist film.

The post credits bit is worth staying for, sets up a possible 6th film.

Saw it Friday and loved it so I'm seeing it again tomorrow. I think the choice of cars were great in the film even though some of the appearances were a bit short for some.

Yes we did! biggrin

And I'm taking the girlfriend to see it again tonight.

Great to see all the characters back into one film, even "Wiley Cyotes R'Us".

Loved the use of signature cars, even if it does mean Vin destroys the worlds supply of Chargers...

I said to George after the movie, how come Ludacris states that the safe has a copper layer to protect against thermal lances, but the heat generated through friction by hauling a 10 ton steel cube around downtown doesn't cause a problem? If any bank robbers are amidst the PH collective please inform me smile

Oddly, the second film being the only one where a main character doesn't die? (Going by the assumption that Jesse is dead...)

I only watched the first one up until the point when they started talking about double clucthing in a drag race and thought this ins't a proper car film and haven't watched any of them since (and never will).

Strangely the first one is the only one I think actually is a "Car Film".

Fast Five comes close but they're all action now. No more talk of ball bearing turbos and NOS fogger systems...

The article isn't entirely correct. The films will be more heist focused, but will always involve cars, in order to remain true to the franchise, and to keep Paul Walker (I can't say much more than that)

lol all the fasts are pretty terrible. i know because i own them all biglaugh

havent seen the new one yet but will have before the weekends out. so far the best (if you can call it that) one yet is tokyo drift for me.

on another note if anyone on here wants to see a bad (in the negative sense) car film 'initial D - Drift racer', destroys them all. total film budget - 67p paperbag
