I watched this today and have to agree great film, however has han come back for the dead, im sure he got killed in tokyo drift?
It's supposed to be set before Tokyo drift. There are references to him wanting to eventually go back to Tokyo in the film. Edited by ChipsAndCheese on Wednesday 4th May 23:47
Agree this is better than all the others in the series by far. Very good action film with some very good car chases and some decent cars for a change, not just a load of ricers with go faster stripes. Could have done with seeing a bit more of the carbon LFA though, that car was stunning.

If that's the case...
Doesn't Vin Diesels car get pretty messed up (rammed) when they get found in the safe house?
This car then appears in the final scene of Tokyo Drift
Apparently it is a different car, but I haven't got Drift to check. Apparently at the end of Drift he is in a 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner and not the 1970 Dodge Charger in Fast 5.Doesn't Vin Diesels car get pretty messed up (rammed) when they get found in the safe house?

If that's not correct, then it could still work. He could use his newly acquired millions to rebuild it in the time Han goes off to Tokyo and dies. It's easier to repair a wrecked car than a dead person so it still fits as a prequel.
Han was also in Fast and Furious (film 4) which this film follows on from so it's not just this one that was set before drift.

Wouldn't surprise me if they found a workaround for Han's death - possible solution? Han manages to jump out of the car at the last minute but ends up losing his memory - he suddenly regains his memory when he bumps into Toretto and co If that's not correct, then it could still work. I'm thinking the next film starts with him waking up in hospital...FraserLFA said:

Perhaps Deano couldn't keep up with the subtitles.
besides the very Asian nuances in the film (the whole love thing :sick the understanding of cars developed in the film is quite good.
The cartoon version does it better though.
lol. yes the subtitles were quite fast and i was gripped by the quality acting in the film. the tech side of it is (to say the least)ok, however, at least the f+f can keep most peoples attention for more than 5 minutes. initial d concentrated on describing things that made good drifting characteristics etc but that was totally lost in the films total lack of entertainment and duff love plot. the cartoon version DOES do it better ftw.besides the very Asian nuances in the film (the whole love thing :sick the understanding of cars developed in the film is quite good.
