Makes you wonder if it's done on purpose just so joe public forgets about it, can't figure out why it would need to be so long to wait until october.

Especially on the back of an eight month investigation by the Police.

I'm hoping it gives me the opportunity to stand in the by-election when he goes into jail.

I don't think the delay is too unusual. Plus it makes him sweat a little I assume. And it clearly stops him making an early comeback to any senior role. The longer the better IMHO.

I disagree; it's more time for him to keep coining it in from the taxpayer and maximise those expenses before he stares at the inside of a cell for years.

Get him on trial as quickly as possible and give the people of Eastleigh the chance to get rid of the lying psychopath.

I wondered who they were waiting for - wouldn't recognise Huhne if I saw him.

I would imagine the trial date will be effected, amongst other things, by availability of all concerned, including the defence barristers. It stands to reason that very high quality defence teams will have a pretty busy diary.

What time did you take that pic, Simon.
I only ask as I was in that lot (I'm a cameraman for Sky News) and by the time he'd arrived there were twice as many of us there. You should have been around for the departure shot as he was officially 'monstered' (to use the proper press term!!!!). There was also an Irish 'nutter' who is often seen around following the press/politicians and he gave Huhne a hard time - (he's the guy who ran across the track at the British Grand Prix a few years ago!)
see the ITN video (NOT my shot) here of the departure http://video.uk.msn.com/watch/video/dancing-leprec...

Innocent (so he claims) but must be feeling the heat a bit, he's hired the legal team that got Redknapp off.. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/91180...

O/T but related.

Actual PtCoJ results in jail terms, moral of the story is not to interfere with jurors in any way. These silly wimmins did that and are now facing stripey daylight.

She's pleaded not-guilty. Devestating.

I think if she'd gone guilty then he'd have been properly fked due to the way he's handled himself in public.

He still has one paddle left to get himself out of st creek. Sad times. frown

I may be missing something but her defence is apparently going to be 'marital coercion'. Surely that means Huhne is far from off the hook.

According to Guido Huhne is going to now apply for the case to be dismissed!
