What a typical idiotic Tory misunderstanding and/or misrepresentation of the EU to describe this as an example of "bureaucracy taking over."

No it isn't Pickles, it's an example of an autocratic state seeking to instill a European identity by forcing people to display it's symbols as a prerequisite for giving those people a portion of their own money back.

And your stupid, weak government are not only powerless to do anything about it, but you're quite happy to sign up for it so long as you've got your nose in the trough, just like the tough guy Tory government of Major and Heath who signed us up for the whole st fest in the first place then acted like it was all someone else's fault.
And, and, and...... the successive Labour governments tried to get us out of the EU but........oh, wait. No they didn't.
Pointing out the hypocracy of the Tories doesn't make me pro-Labour, does it?

Something like this would be more apt.

I want that as a sticker on my car, more faded though so it's obviously the EU flag with a twist.

The oddity is that the British flag is falling into disuse anyway, being replaced with those feeble bits of rag for England, Scotland and Wales.

Simple solution, fly one of these blue toilet paper flags UNDER the national flag....
Can't fly it upside down as the damn burocrats designed it so it cannot be flown the wrong way around.....
Gives me an idea..

Why not have the EU symbol printed on every piece of toilet paper? Every home should have a roll. wink

...I have always wanted to get a load of toiled rolls printed with the EU printed on every sheet.....I am sure they would sell very well.
