'Romeo' and 'Cruz' were not so-named to appeal to the Spanish (when he played for Real) and the Hispanic populations (in LA) then?
Maybe they just liked the names as at the time they were living that life surrounded by those names in normal everyday use? Or maybe they wanted to somehow comemorate the child's start in life by naming them something pertaining to the life they were conceived in? Not necessarily for the fans or as marketing. Daft names nonetheless but each to their own. I'm sure, in fact I know from some comments at the time, that some people thought our choice for DD was odd. Couldn't really care less, they don't need to name their children the same & I'm sure the Beckhams are quite used to not giving a toss what the public think of their choices of names. I just thought they'd go for something pretty & girly for their much wanted & long awaited daughter. They do like odd names in the states and especially in LA ...
Wife's due our second in Nov, and my friend in LA keeps suggesting some odd names (Scarlet, Zak, Duke, Tiger ...) Which we politely bat aside.
I think for them Harper is not that bad a name ... considering a) They live in LA and b) They have money & are the beckhams, so the people they know and see are not going to laugh at them..

The Harper bit isn't bad for a boy. It's not a girl's name. The 7 bit is just bizarre.
Yeah, it sounds like a boy. I just thought that as thay have gone on about wanting a girl so much & as they've done all these interviews saying they have everything pink & lilac & really girly girly ready, they would have gone for a very girly name. I had Sophie in my head as a possibility.LadyLuck said:

Yeah, definitely! I think Serendipity is a pretty name. How about Chlamydia? Sounds a bit 19th century.LadyLuck said:
