Actually, it's further libertarian than I expected. People's views generally get more right-wing as they age, mine seem to be going the other way... am I de-evolving or something?

On an economic left/right scale I've come from far left to almost in the middle, so on that front the saying holds true for me - OTOH I'm getting ever more libertarian with age...

I've become more economically left wing in the past few years. I used to see globalisation and free markets as a positive force, whereas now all I see are rigged markets, bailouts and global wage arbitrage marking us poorer whilst a tiny and corrupt elite become ever more rich and powerful.

Interesting thread. As a further point of interest i did tutorials with students last year asking them to first explain what they understood left, right, libertarian and authoritarian mean before plotting where they thought different people were on it.

In excess of ninety percent couldnt define left and right wing. Couldnt even get close.

Having read many posts on PH over the years I'm just flabbergasted how many people are in the bottom left segment! PH members normally come over as being well into top right! Or is it just the wrong people are playing?

But I answered the questions (reasonably) truthfully and ended up where I expected, pretty much centrallly in the top right!

Maybe people are lying with their answers to make themselves look like a 'better person'?
