Bout fking time!

Now lets hope she gets a fire and brimstone judge and does some serious time. She is as bad if not worse than the looters/rioters IMO

In an ideal world she would also be made to pay back the 60k as well as substantial time.

No fast track justice or courts sitting up at night for these people eh, even though they effectively stole off the same people as the looters did.

I'm sure I will be corrected if I'm wrong, but aren't convicted criminals now loosing their ill gotten gains by the Authorities confiscating goods to the value of the crime(s), by order of the Judge(s).

Ha! And I remember the first time this vile creature was asked about her expenses - to which she retorted that the comments about her were all lies and actionable, and she was going to do something about it! Bless.

Article took a little while before it got round to mentioning which Party she represented.

Had it been a Conservative MP the Headline would have been "Ex-Luton Tory MP Margaret Moran facing 21 expenses charges".

I hope she goes to jail -the bh. She was my MP for a while :never did anything of merit for the town. funny how another MP living a few doors away from her managed to claim less than 1/10 of what she did...he just commuted into Westminster by train daily : whereas she went on a massive spending spree furious

notable that as soon as it all hit the press she never showed her face in south beds again - I think there would have been a lynching party evil

still managed to draw a large salary though by "going sick" from stress when it all blew up.

Horrid, horrid individual....

A long long stretch for this.

A big sum of money and totally blatant.

And if she can't then she should be beaten with clubs until the taxpayer is satisfied the debt is paid.

Everyone would assume it was a Labour MP, which is why being a Tory would be a headline!

Out of interest, I remember the tories telling everyone to sort out their finances ASAP when this bit of a scandal first started.
Would that be the reason why you don't see as many tory expenses claims as they "un-cooked" their books?

No idea.

Or because Tory MPs are on average wealthier and so don't have the same risk-reward. Or because there were fewer Tory MPs.

Maybe they're just smart enough to sell off some the criminally-acquired assets for chariddy.
