Slightly harsh and something I wouldnt of expected at that level.

Wonder who will replace her, Yahoo haven't been going anywhere for ages now... Google just mop the floor with them.

Do we think the global e-mail address in the link for yahoo is the correct one?

Could be a bit of a faux pas.

It will probably only work from a yahoo email address.

I guess this kinda ties in with the pay gap rising thread.

Paid a lot of money for "performance" and didn't really have much of an impact on Yahoo share price. In fact it went up when she was sacked. Unless keeping it from tanking was a feat in itself, which I imagine it might well of been given all the infighting they had over her tenure.

US companies are absolutely ruthless with senior (and not all that senior) staff.

I know someone just let go from a pretty big job - been there years and had absolutely no idea it was coming. Told one day, gone the next.

My employer can be as ruthless as they like with me - provided I get ten million.

Sadly these plutocrats achieve massive earnings without commensurate achievements.

Steve Jobs built his firm himself. Good luck to his Millions.

This fortunate woman has a lottery win for failure. Its barmy economics.

That is what is wrong with modern business.

Yahoo are a dead duck. The directors are on holiday. Crap.

It's neither here nor there - these people are already loaded beyond most people's imagination. She got a package worth $47M in 2010.
