So, is that 'no impact on nothing is worse than previously thought' or not? I'm confused, just how worried should I be?.........and about what?

SO anyone heard the BBC reconcile this with the previous view that we would see no more warm winters or snow due to Global Warming?

Nah. As usual, that will be conveniently forgotten. It's great when you don't have to justify previous proclamations.

hehe

With severe winters in the recent past and deadloss summers too, and with a Dalton Minimum or worse remaining on the cards, at least one rentapaper was needed to give media outlets the excuse they needed to cover record snow and cold temperatures while trying gamely to keep the manmadeup global warming myth alive.

Why, have you seen 30c in October and March before or a foot of snow in November ?

Last winter was very mild wasn't it ?

Sarcasm?!

You only have to go back to 1985 for a 29-point-something October UK temperature, and yes I was in the vicinity though not personally responsible smile

And of course last winter was very mild nuts

Britain's cold weather: deaths soar as winter takes its toll
The human cost of Britain’s worst winter for 30 years has been laid bare as figures show the first signs of a sharp rise in the death rates, especially among the elderly.

I think some would like us to have very short memories! The last few winters have been very cold - I remember last year's because we had just moved back to the UK, and the house we bought had a broken boiler. Never been so cold in my life! (Rectified for this winter, though....). I remember driving on the M5 and it was so cold (-17) than the accelerator cable stick - quite unnerving.
Despite this, the desperate will still pick out the odd day or so when it was a little warmer!

It was only cold from the first early snow in November and it become really mild by jan-feb , above average for the rest of winter months and then forest fires in march iirc

On what planet?

It was -17 in late January. I know this because that's when my accelerator cable froze, trying to get to Redditch for a relative's birthday. This happened twice - once in December, too

ETA - I posted a thread on 30 December last year regarding the first time this happened - are you sure Jan was mild?
