CMD talks tough on Europe

Errr...... We actually need Europe more than they need us ,of course trade doesn't matter , only immigrants do
Well fortunately neither Britain nor Europe are about to go anywhere. If however, you are referring to the EU and saying we need to be in it, then I would simply ask why?Trade and immigration can and do happen outside of the EU.

A here today, gone tomorrow, self-serving and out of touch politician is just that, and hopefully gone tomorrow but not likely.

He screwed the pooch when he whipped his MPs to vote against a referendum, to be honest. I think that's done more damage to the Tories than they realise at the moment. Not a single good word said about CMD

A new kind of politics is unlikely to happen with the nature of modern politics as it is, all there remains to do is vote for the least worst, least incompetent, least costly.
The Boy George was talking tough too.
“Europe certainly shouldn’t be creating new burdens,” Mr Osborne wrote yesterday. “Proposals for a Europe-only Financial Transactions Tax are a bullet aimed at the heart of London. Even the European Commission admit that it would cost hundreds of thousands of jobs.” Brussels chiefs proposed the tax to raise more cash for euro bailout funds.

Well, let's have a referendum then Dave....
We live in a democracy, vote UKIP next election. If UKIP can't win at least more than a few % of the vote then getting out of the EU isn't really that important to the vast majority of normal folk in this country.

We only had an election last year.
One well-publicised party stood for election on a platform to withdraw from the EU. Very few people voted for them.
That is democracy.

If you don't vote {insert tie colour A} then {insert tie colour B} will get in and you know how bad it would be if {insert tie colour B} got in.
So you must vote {insert tie colour A} despite the fact you know they are lying arses

Well spotted. It's likely you just highlighted the least reason why anybody voted Tory.

Douglas Adams explains Democracy very well.A new kind of politics is unlikely to happen with the nature of modern politics as it is, all there remains to do is vote for the least worst, least incompetent, least costly.

The essence of first-past-the-post parliamentary democracy. If you don't vote {insert tie colour A} then {insert tie colour B} will get in and you know how bad it would be if {insert tie colour B} got in.

You might prefer some flavour of proportional representation at Westminster, but the referendum we had back in May of this year kicked that firmly into touch, probably for another generation - so tough titty.
