And lo, according to Wikipedia it's about $1 a litre in the US, or roughly 60p which would be 48, plus 5 and plus a bit of GST.
When the oil price was $10 a barrel in the late 90s petrol was $1 a gallon in Florida, and from memory about 60p a litre here.
