London is the population centre, you mildly academically gifted monkey.
Thank you Justayellowbadge for your helpful feedback. For your information, and education, the centre of population (or population centre) of a region is a geographical point that describes a centrepoint of the region's population.

According to Professor Daniel Dorling of the University of Leeds, Appleby Parva in Leicestershire is the country's centre of population - at least at the moment. He has been plotting the weighted average population of every district in Britain, and with more people than ever living in the south, the centre has been moving towards Appleby for some time.
unless professor henry brubaker confirms this, i'll be treating it with scepticism.

Unless a lady with big tits appears I will still not give a toss about this esoteric argument within which you are all looking at the wrong metric to use in this calculation.

Yeah but it is no where near the Geograhical centre or the easiest place for most citizens to reach easily, Birmingham is in about the right place Geographically but would need major infrastructure work and some serious smartning up.

All you need is a room big enough to put 600 idiots in.

If you move Parliament you need to move almost all of the Civil Service. The latter struggle to move small departments to the shires, so I don't hold much hope of moving the whole thing.

Anyway, Parliament is in a pretty good place: the centre of the capital city. Leave it where it is!

Most of the trouble they have in moving departments is down to the London centric attitude within them. Move the lot of them and that will stop that problem.

FWIW I'm happy for it to stay in London, I certainly wouldn't want them and their retinue in my back yard

keep it in London. Bomb every bridge and tunnel over/under the M25. Londoners are welcome to 'em. The rest of the UK start again with people who should be politicians, rather then those who think they ought to be (ie lawyers and union reps).
