Amazing isn't it? All these highly paid TV broadcasters unable to distinguish between an H and a C. One might be forgiven for thinking it was deliberate..A long time ago I used to know a (now sadly deceased) BBC local radio presenter. She said that it was not uncommon for there to be a sort of competition to see who would dare to be first to get a particular controversial phrase or word into a bulletin. Her favourite was the phrase "Phil the Greek" - a slightly off colour term that was used to describe HRH Duke of Edinburgh. Apparently the person that won that particular competition did so by doing a piece about why the Queen and Phillip had never visited Greece and concluding the piece with "if the Queen does decide to visit Athens then it would fill (sic) the Greek hearts with happiness"
I wonder if Jeremy *unt is a dare?
Or maybe it's a case of 'I really, really, really, mustn't get his name wrong............ oh'
Or maybe it's a case of the moniker fitting the man.

In a normal workplace they would very quickly find themselves in trouble if they didn't tow the line, but in a workplace where the public foots the bill and everyone is very much of the same mind, I can imagine they don't really learn to behave in a manner that most of us would consider professional, even after they've been there for decades.
"But what about them sacking off the likes of Clarkson?" Left wing bias remember, Clarkson behaved like a child but he did so in a very politically incorrect manner, he was a different generation, he didn't fit the culture of the BBC.

Definitely some bias going on, was I the only person to hear the R4 News reporter 'accidentally' refer to the Rt Hon member for SW Surry as "Jeremy "..... at about 6.45am this morning? He swiftly corrected himself, but it was quite amusing IMO.
I heard that too, more amusing for me was the big sigh that was clearly audible as he handed over to someone else almost to say that is my career down the toilet...Vanden Saab said:

What you have to remember is that the BBC employs mostly graduates at every level (who then stay with the BBC for a long time), this very much explains their left wing bias and also the childish behaviour you sometimes see, such as changing their colleagues autocue to make them say things which they should not.

Oh, and it's 'toe' the line by the way.

Thanks for that. If it proves anything it's that there is a UK wide MSM/elites/establishment conspiracy to belittle our dear health secretary.
Damned Lefties BBC.

So, Clarkson verbally abuses his producer and then goes further and punches him, gets sacked and yet its left wing bias.In a normal workplace they would very quickly find themselves in trouble if they didn't tow the line, but in a workplace where the public foots the bill and everyone is very much of the same mind, I can imagine they don't really learn to behave in a manner that most of us would consider professional, even after they've been there for decades.

How could you punch a member of your team in a politically correct manner?Countdown said:

How could you punch a member of your team in a politically correct manner? That bloody David Attenborough might well be a national treasure but he is clearly a lefty. Except he’s not - he just doesn’t like fking up the planet ... and my staunchly Conservative Dad is absolutely 100% with him on that ...

Agree with her there. Sometimes pay gaps are right and proper no matter what sex.
Having said that I think Michaela has is a gem and has been for a long time. Always shows the fun side of stuff and intelligent enough to get things into perspective.
Also have a terrible crush on her ..... damn, she used to do table top dancing when 18. What a life. common sense and beauty.
Ok the last sentence was not PC. But her statement has just made me respect her more.

I think well done for not jumping on the bandwagon, she'll get a lot of flak over that.Agree with her there. Sometimes pay gaps are right and proper no matter what sex.

A potentially interesting piece on the radio this morning about how a minister thinks they should interfere less in people's personal lives. Span as "government in chaos" piece
Would that be the piece about a minister publicly taking the piss out of another minister?Wow. Just...really? She’s not even close to right wing - to me she’s using common sense and if that means taking some hard decisions then so be it. I thought right wing meant having thugs on the streets in control, bullying, intimidation techniques, etc. Comments disabled on YouTube as well.
German right wing leader challenged on immigration
Quick fire questions and then when she tries to answer or voice her opinion, she is rudely interrupted all the time because the BBC have an agenda and not going their way. Liked it at the end. If someone spoke to you this way face to face without cameras you’d make enemies pretty quickly...
