“More waste to landfill” with no deal brexit

So we have the IRA, rationing, & now end of the world through climate CRISIS due to brexit landfill, “and pile millions of pounds of extra costs onto councils”. Project Fear still going it seems

Like all these doomsday scenario reports there is a very liberal use of 'could' and 'may'

You didn't read the whole piece did you...
BBC said:
Jacob Hayler, who runs industry body the Environmental Services Association, told the BBC that councils' concerns were mainly reasonable worst-case scenarios that would materialise only in a more general crisis around transport congestion and fuel issues.
He added that the government deserved credit for guaranteeing the ongoing legal framework, enabling waste exports to continue.
So it is only a problem if for some reason we are not aware of there is no petrol and all the ferries stop running...but the headline says... No deal 'will see more waste going to landfill' It is ok though as they are only quoting someone else...

It’s actually even better than that, the reports were saying that the landfill sites in the south were a bit full so the southerners’ rubbish might be going to the north of the U.K. and being dumped temporarily in car parks etc.

I thought that will upset them, hehe

I don't no how they get away with the use of quotations use in headlines its misleading.

I seen a number of headlines like "Bob is a murderous killer". It's not until you open the article all they have done is quote the prosecution in a on going trial.

You actually pay far too much attention to the BBC. It’s very unhealthy behaviour.

You don’t like the BBC but instead of ignoring it or not watching or reading it, you keep going on the website to look for bias. Then if you think you’ve found something, you come on here to post about it and get your behaviour validated by others doing the same.

You do it so much that you actually recognise who’s doing the reports now.

POPPING in to watch a little news is hardly "watching to much" (LOL, it is actually smile N)

You recognised that it’s the same person but you just “pop on” now and then, and then you actually look them up for hopefully more confirmation of your irrational behaviour . rofl

The BBC have reported on the social media 'storm' over Boris putting his foot on Macron's coffee table.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-49440952

They correctly report the fact that it was banter between the two leaders and that the storm was unwarranted.

Is that a little dig at the end of the report though?

"it seems the prime minister did not put his foot in it this time after all"

It is instinctive with the type in the BBC News & Current Affairs Departments (and others), they cannot see (reject every complaint) it because like true Social Justice Warriors (do it the way I think) they cannot see outside their little bubble

You ever met or had any professional engagement with anybody from the BBC Flatty ?

Intrigued that you think that other departments beyond News & CA have a political agenda.

Even for a mind as febrile as yours that's quite a statement.

Ok so you’ve met nobody who works at the BBC then or had no professional dealings with them.

Thanks for clarifying.

Any further thoughts you’d care to share on other departments pushing a biased political agenda against Boris beyond news and CA ?
