Murder on one of the busiest shopping days of the year. What a great country we live in.

Only shoot one person? Still wouldn't make the news.

"Even"? What does that mean?

What NightRunner is referring to is that when you get some scrote caught up in a stabbing (as aggressor or victim), chances are, the best their cretinous family can say is they were a talented young footballer because, let's face it, they took every opportunity given to them by the government (or what we call a free education) and just wasted it, then got into crime. Approximately.

I say approximately, because you will find exceptions - there was one case in London where someone got stabbed in a bakery who actually was a decent pupil; IIRC he tried to stop someone attacking someone else.

When a youth gets stabbed/shot, the press always seem to point to their inevitable future stardom and ignore the fact they were involved in gangs and carried knives.

It's become a PH meme.

To be pedantic, I thought it was 'promising young footballer'. Still that is a horrific thing to happen in such a crowded area. Probably over something completely pointless, like 'respect'.

If I recall correctly it started from this:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1224727/Bo...

But evolved via:

http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/n...

to include more or less any scrote who has been killed by another scrote, it's pretty much the only thing the papers can put that paints these pond life in any kind of positive way.

But in my defence, I am in Florida and the internet service is a touch patchy.

Before I read a link, would I be correct in assuming youths of a foreign persuasion were involved?
