Ok then, so after 19 years we have a verdict!!!
Firstly, what an absolute shambles this whole case has been from the onset! What does it say about the way the Police have handled this debacle?
Secondly, what has this cost us? (i do understand Justice for the victim is paramount here) nevertheless!!
Thirdly and i dare say the most controversial , Why has this become such a Racial issue?.....After just listening to the Mothers summing up, so to speak (and 19 years of this case being in the headlines) why does she need to press home that her son was 'Black' so often? ....Why not 'Young man/boy, wonderful Teenager, cherished Son or Our Stephen etc?
Wouldn't it be odd if the mother of a Non Black Victim of a crime perpetrated by a so called black person was to refer to her son as being "my lovely White boy", "he was only a White boy minding his own business" or words of a similar nature?
Before i get flamed by the politically inept brigade
....I am Not racist, i would like to see more integration simply because it is the right way to be!
But i am fed up of years of the ethnic minorities playing this race card
...it does nothing for racial harmony at all, To the contrary!
