so if you are not outraged but somebody shooting an animal without any facts or information and ask about the point you are a nanderthal?

Nice ballenced argument you guys are putting up. Some people really like to be victims. Take the chip off.
My argument my be unbalanced, but at least its spelt correctly - enough of a chip for you?
Oh christ, i really wish you'd written "may" instead of "my".

Even in the very terminology. No one who hunts, shoots or fishes calls what they do bloodsports. But then again, I guess no one who actively opposes them calls them field sports.
It's a bloody tricky one Bruce, no denying it. Terminology is a funny bugger. Misquoting, adding, removing or replacing a word here and there can make such a difference.

Well try not to get too frothed up, chaps. I'm off to bed now. Got a hard day of bagging stock raiding lions tomorrow. Big problem in this part of Middlesex, don't you know ....

A leopard, amongst other things. Possibly an elephant too I think.

Hunting is one thing, paying to have an endangered species presented for you to shoot for fun is another.

Have a look at the photo of them holding the shot leopard.
They are smiling, their clothes are clean. That is not hunting, it is bloodsport.

If the furry-vermin lovers could take a moment out from the group-hug, and post a link so that those of us without the dying-swan-attention-tart chromosome could have a look, that would be lovely.

Fully agree. Cowardly and small-minded. Morality aside, take away miniTrump's arrangers and protectors and he'd be stting in his designer quilted safari shorts before he could cock his hog's leg or whatever weapon of choice they use for these things.

I don't really understand the desire to kill things for sport (and indeed most other justifications). Wouldn't do it myself, unless desperate. A civet would really, really have to piss me off before I even swore at it. If this guy actually killed an elephant, and there isn't some cast-iron justification, then he is a fking .

I've never understood the personal pleasure people get from killing animals.

Why exactly do they (you, maybe) do it?

Is it some sort of power thing or do you just not like animals?

I found this as a top result to a google search. I presume it is the subject of the thread.

Bravo!

and a lovely clean shirt with no blood on his knife. Almost like he's a cowardly little fk who got handed a piece of a dead animal so he can pretend to be a great white hunter.

It is customary, when starting a thread in the News, Politics and Economics forum, to actually provide some reference to whatever you've been getting your dizzy little head in a twist about, rather than diving straight into the ooooh-look-at-me-I'm-so-sensitive-about-whatever crepe.

Is that so difficult. Really?

Not much sport or honour in those pics, in my humble (and of course) subjective opinion.

To the Op.

If you had posted a link I would have whole heartedly agreed with you.

No objection to shooting antelope etc etc No need in m y opinion to go after the "big 5"

Why anybody would want to shoot a leopard is beyond me.

You can't eat it.

No, its very sad IMO on many levels.

Like I said shooting things that can be used as food IMO can't complain because not veggy.

Shooting a big cat for fun? Not on.
