In the text 'In a statement, WikiLeaks said, “Due to extraordinary circumstances where Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks has been held incommunicado (except visits by lawyers) for six months while arbitrarily detained in the Ecuadorean embassy'

LOL wut.
Assange, due to having a completely different and perverse concept of reality to everyone else, has convinced himself that his refusal to leave the Ecuadorian embassy because he doesn't want to to face some serious allegations actually means that he is being unlawfully held there without trial.

He is free to leave at any time he chooses. He chooses not to though. he is NOT detailed, arbitrarily or otherwise.

Reading between the lines, personal hygiene is not a priority for him. The final straw may have involved the cat using the copier as a litter tray.

I agree that they want him out.
Having him there in the first place was a massive abuse of consular privilege. This is not what an Embassy is for.

Wow.

They will surely throw him out soon.

This will be way more than the last straw for Ecuador.

How stupid is this tt. Would be quite funny to see him kicked out and his stuff piled on the pavement.

"What diplomatic protection Mr Assange?"

And boy aren't they learning that lesson biggrin

Double whammy. Sleezeball Assange locked up in a room stinking, and the Ecuadorians realising what happens when you take the piss (for God knows what reason!).

Him complaining about his human rights being violated is beyond a hypocritical joke he’s in there of his own volition

If he doesn’t like it, he isn’t gonna like a federal supermax

Why don’t Ecuador tell Assange that he either leaves or the new embassy security team will be flying in from Saudi Arabia smile

Translator fluent in English not good enough for Assange, they must be fluent in Australian.

Ecuador's inhuman demands said:

In order to safeguard the sanitary conditions of the Embassy facilities, Mr Julian Assange and his visitors will conserve the cleanliness and hygiene of the bathroom and other spaces that they use inside the embassy.

For the same reasons, Mr Julian Assange will be responsible for the well-being, food, cleanliness and proper care of your pet. If the pet is not given due attention, the Head of Mission will ask Mr Assange to deliver the pet to another person or an animal shelter outside the Diplomatic Mission.

Something weird afoot

https://www.theguardian.com/media/2018/nov/16/juli...

If I understand it correctly, some documents have shown up in an unrelated US case concerning someone else, which on the last page mention Assange being arrested. The apparent explanation is that these documents were cut/pasted/edited to form this new case, and they overlooked the instance of Assange that they should have changed to whoever this unrelated case is about. The implication being that there exists in another sealed case, which they copied/pasted from, charges against our man Assange.

Have I understood that correctly? The reporting is not exactly clear.
