And there are people in caravans next to rivers getting very wet. BBC is hoping to show pictures of caravans being swept out to sea, but haven't yet managed to get some film out... there's an air of disappointment on the BBC about the lack of bodies being washed up on Welsh beaches but its early days yet...

And to top it all, the very Welsh lady from the Welsh Environment Agency has just said on the tele that the "Welsh Environment Agency is very sorry about the flooding".... Because it being wet in Wales is obviously their fault....

Hopefully, despite the BBC wanting a really exciting story, everyone will be safe.

I noticed the disappointment in the presenters voice on radio 5 live when the owner of the caravan park was describing things in a very calm and controlled manner as if it was just a normal day and these things happen and you get on with life. You could almost hear the presenters shoulders slump when there were no injuries to report.

It's been chiselled into our way of life. We're expected to apologise for all that's "wrong" in this world, even if we had bugger all to do with it.

If it's not slavery going back generations that we're apologising for, it's the bloody weather. rolleyes

hehe they are using words like "EMERGENCY" then showing a still pic of a camp site with tents sitting in about 3'of water

But they are so desperate for a crisis hehe

Hope no one is hurt. Life boat crew has been rescued by helicopter.

Better send all reporters to PH for some education in reporting.

I sometimes despair for the BBC. There's been a shed load of rain falling in concentrated amounts over the last several days in an area of the UK. This has lead to severe localised flooding. Dozens of people are evacuated. RAF helicopters rescue many. The BBC I watch reports this to an acceptable level on a relativley quiet weekend morning. PH starts an inevitable anti BBC thread.

To be fair I think it's a rant against modern 24 hour TV news.
If you watched the BBC breakfast coverage they were desperately trying to make it sound like it was some sort of disaster, when all those interviewed from the area were quite calm and matter of fact about things.

Accually it's Dol-y-Bont as well as Tal-y-Bont that are flooded .

Yes the inshore lifeboat was "rescued" because it was in very shallow water and could not use its outboard hehe
