Its been raining in Wales.....
Discussion
Surely there's a global warming aspect to it? Rain! In Wales, in June?!
As ice cap after polar-bear-nourishing ice cap deluges onto the Welsh countryside, every single scientist in the world declares it's too late to stop it, and it's all because of people driving big cars.
We now go over to the headquarters of a bank where it has emerged that a 40,000 a year fat cat executive put 3 coffees on his expense account WITHOUT A RECEIPT!

Life boat crew has been rescued by helicopter.
Yes the inshore lifeboat was "rescued" because it was in very shallow water and could not use its outboard define rescue
BBC knocking for the sake of it methinks. Peoples homes have been wrecked and having witnessed the result of flash floods, it is not nice. The reports I saw this morning certainly did not fit in with the gist of this thread.

The BBC and all other news agencys alwasy get a bit hyper when ever they think they have an easy dramatic story to cover

Heard or read it when I posted. The reason was not clear at the time.

The BBC coverage this morning painted a picture much worse than what has since emerged. They were talking to one woman who, when asked 'are you stuck in your home' they were clearly miffed when she told them that she was not stuck, not in danger, and didnt need rescuing. It was as if it was her fault!! they soon brushed her off and moved on. It was very much a case of 'well if you dont need rescueing, why are we even talking to you...? Get off the line, there may be someone else that is in danger that we should be talking to...'BBC knocking for the sake of it methinks. Peoples homes have been wrecked and having witnessed the result of flash floods, it is not nice. The reports I saw this morning certainly did not fit in with the gist of this thread.

Fast enough flowing and I wouldn't be keen to walk through it, slip and you could be gone.
or they could stay in their house where they would be in no danger. When the force of the water is enough to put in doorss and windows, downstairs soon fill up and the crap that is carried by the water is unbelievable. Then, if it cannot find a way out, it turns your living room into a mud and water filled pool. And probably in the dark. Yep, safe.
Edit. Of course, if you have an upstairs to go to.
