So that's another four "Asian " men convicted of child molesting. Are there any sensible websites keeping track of the convictions?
And two non-Asian women.

Surely there's a record somewhere of all Rotherham Councillors for the last 15 years.
It would be of enormous interest to see if the list of these Councillors names show any, up to now, unseen common denominator.
Can you give us a clue as to what kind of denominator you think there may be?It would be of enormous interest to see if the list of these Councillors names show any, up to now, unseen common denominator.

The current lot look a bit strange, but are a lot whiter than I thought they would be.
Distant relative, Mohammed Shafiq, was on the news (also heard his interview on the radio earlier) and he comments about these men have a negative, and in many cases a racist attitude, towards white young girls....and he went on to say how his community had turned a blind eye to these sort of crimes.
Very brave man and well done for saying exactly what he thinks. I'm sure it won't go down well in his community but hopefully it encourages the people not to look the other way

Well done - we need a few more relatives to speak up and it will be a roar across the nation. Win-win.Very brave man and well done for saying exactly what he thinks. I'm sure it won't go down well in his community but hopefully it encourages the people not to look the other way

The truth WRT to these individuals also being involved in crime and quasi-terrorist operations and operating with impunity for years is also now acknowledged. This is ongoing in numerous other towns and cities right now. There are, as I've mentioned before, ongoing investigations.
"South Yorkshire Police The role of South Yorkshire Police (SYP) falls beyond the scope of this statutory inspection, and we have not looked into their past or present actions in detail. However, inspectors felt that the critical role of SYP in tackling CSE meant that the organisation could not be ignored in this report. The police are a crucial partner in

tackling sexual exploitation. Whilst the Council has powers to deal with perpetrators, the primary role rests with the police. Unfortunately, the impression of Inspectors was that SYP’s action has fallen short of what would be expected.
There is little argument that crimes of grooming and sexual exploitation are on-going in Rotherham. The number of current CSE cases being dealt with, the number of CSE related crimes recorded and the number of abduction notices served by SYP all point to the active and numerous perpetration of crimes within the town.
It seemed to Inspectors that police activity was unexpectedly low in response to these issues, and historically has been poor. There has been a flurry of recent action by the police on criminal investigations and prosecutions, which is to be expected given the high level of public scrutiny and the focus afforded by the new Police and Crime Commissioner. However, Inspectors remained concerned that once public scrutiny wanes there is a danger that historic inertia will prevail.
Without the remit to consider SYP’s practices in detail, Inspectors noted the following as concerns."
The Taxi Drivers get there own section too...
It's all in the report here:

If it can go on in a toffee-nosed city here in Oxford, there is no hope. Nearly 400 grooming victims ...in OXFORD!
Sad, but we live in a very actively pc-led country now.
The scum here did it all under the watch of the Chief Constable of Thames Valley, one Sara Thornton.
The CE of Oxfordshire County Council, Joanna Simons faced angry calls at the time to resign, she was on a quarter of a million pounds a year salary!
Simons didn't go. OCC axed her job! Where is she now ...who knows? In charge of child care somewhere, perhaps?
And good old Chief Constable Sara Thornton, all happened on her watch. She left at the end of last March, to become ...you couldn't make it up, the Chair of the National Police Chiefs' Council.
I despair. We all should!

On Newsnight tonight, again and again.
Tomorrow's newspaper - chip paper the day after.
Soon forgotten. The abuse, in the meantime, will continue.
Chappy on Newsnight talks of it as a community issue , and that there is too much political correctness.
The very large elephant in the room has been around too long and screwing the structure.

I'll assume that's the same Jessica mentioned on the BBC News coverage?https://socialistworker.co.uk/art/39942/Revealed+-...
A quote from Sarah Champion MP, Shadow Minister for Preventing Abuse and Domestic Violence, reading a prepared statement yesterday (also on her website);
As a society we need to do more to prevent child sexual exploitation. It is happening in every town, village and city.
I bridled when I heard that - EVERY village?
If a shadow minister is spreading this message, then clearly they're going after a much, much bigger target than a few taxi ranks in post-industrial towns and cities.
Is she correct?

I'd hope that "every village" was a bit of an exaggeration.
I do know that the reach of the inner city drug/crime/rape gangs is pretty extensive; hence the project name of "County Lines" for the operation which is presently attempting to tackle the issue.
Aside from the shame and cultural factors preventing Muslim victims from coming forward, a lot of those bullied into being used by the gangs - be it for sex, or the selling and distribution of drugs and other criminal activities - the operation is hampered by the very severe threats of violence to those who defy them. The actions meted out extend beyond punishment of the individual to the almost terrorist-like targeting of homes and extended families. In fact, it is not a big stretch to suppose there may indeed be links to terrorism and its funding.

A quick check on Sarah Champion - one for the conspiracy fans - reveals she is a Common Purpose graduate according to CPExposed, not a fact she shares on her own website.
So her spreading of the fear - every village - could be to distract attention from any cultural clash?

On BBC Radio 4 they reported that they'd be sentenced today. I think they described them as a crime gang.So her spreading of the fear - every village - could be to distract attention from any cultural clash?

Champion's assertion that there are Asian crime gangs peddling drugs, supplying weapons and pimping out children while being given carte blanche by local police happening in every village across England probably is not the case.

Top sentence - 35 years!
I think that and the fact the judge made great efforts to be seen to be praising the witnesses, says it all. Of course it is all a case of shutting the stable door after the horse is bolted, but at least it's now less likely any more horses will bolt.I did hear on the radio news this morning the possibility of deportation for some of the defendants too. I wonder if Theresa May is going to make good on that promise because, where applicable, i think that would send the strongest possible message.
The brothers got 35, 25 & 19 years with the uncle getting 10 years.
David Greenwood, solicitor for some of the victims said he wanted police documentation released as he reckons the crimes were known about but that that information was not fed down to operational officers to deal with it.
I think they also mentioned that police officer that was having sex with teenagers that was run over with offences happening in a car park next to the police station.
