Discussion
Renewing my car insurance and came across this:

Makes for interesting reading, I've just gone from a 'B' to an 'F' - it hurts

Use it as a guide rather than a clear indicationas to whether your premium will go up or down, just because the link says one postcode is bad doesn't mean an insurer will hold the same information.http://www.motorcarinsuranceuk.co.uk/post-code-rat...

I agree. I'm in a D rating and where I have lived for 18 years, there has only ever been one car broken into. You could safely leave a house window open all day with very little risk. Madness.
Theft accounts for a very low percentage of insurance claims.jon- said:
Picking a new house based on car insurance.
Have some man points.
That's what happens when men are left to think on their own haha. Also means the garage has been decorated first.Have some man points.
Its all linked though, good car insurance = good crime rating = good area = I need not worry (as much) when I work away.
Are they still using such a broad brush? My postcode covers quite a large area from moorland farms and nature reserve areas (ie. very nice and quiet) right through to horrible crash-for-cash innut blud areas - which makes it an E. However my premiums are still pretty reasonable and we're insuring a new SLK, V70, C1, two R1s, a Honda 450 supermoto and a KTM enduro for less than 1200 for the lot (comp).

It seems it has gone up lots because though, can't find a quote near to what I would expect if I was still living where I used to.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
