What's he meant to do, avoid speaking to her? Refuse to attend anywhere she might also be?

It's well known that they're long term friends and mix in the same circles so hardly surprising that they met. We don't have guilt by association. And anyway does anyone really imagine that A) Cameron can and will lean on a judge to directly intervene in a criminal case, and B) couldn't find any better place to plan such an endeavour than over a glass of mulled wine, in front of loads of people at a mutual friend's Christmas party?

The biggest surprise here is that the Daily Mail put together a whole article without mentioning the value of any houses at all. Where was this party? A tumble down farmhouse worth a few hundred thousand, a sprawling stately home worth several million or a swanky modern mansion befitting a footballer or internet tycoon? Come on Wail the public demands to know!
