I quite like him, I think he is sincere. So you might not like(d) his decisions but but he doesn't (didn't) twist and turn like an eel like most other politicians do. Just cos he gets paid a shed-load doesn't make him bad. Perhaps his speeches actually help the people (dodgy despot nations) he gives them to; and who else would have done things to help with debt relief for African counties? He kept Claire Short on as Secretary of State for International Development IIRC even though they hated each other and she was always batting for the poor countries.
As for Iraq and him being a 'war criminal' what a load of twaddle.

I just think whenever he was interviewed, he answered in a pretty straight-forward fashion.
He is a politician, how do we know he was lying? His lips were moving......He had master classes in spin from some very nasty people and did it in an arena where people were not asking the right questions. For some reason.

In his own words he was "a pretty straight kinda guy". Having received Bernie Ecclestone's plea to not ban tobacco advertising, and then a totally unrelated Labour Party donation by the same B. Ecclestone. And the tobacco advertising ban got a reprieve. Just happenstance. Or the comments - to camera - on his surprise that people came out to cheer his train as it went through stations on a tour of GB, even though the 'cheerers' were Labour Party workers bussed there precisely for that duty.
But being a quiet, uninquisitive sort (as most barristers are) he would not have known any of this.
We could go on, but you get the picture.

Critics have also pointed out that two former aides of Mr Blair have significant roles in Save the Children, including Justin Forsyth who worked in Downing Street from 2004 to 2010 and is now the chief executive of Save the Children UK.
Jonathan Powell, who was Mr Blair’s chief of staff, is on the board of Save the Children International.
