Liberal Democrats hit by new raft of sex pest claims. Sounds like the BBC...

Telegraph said:
More allegations of inappropriate conduct were levelled at Lord Rennard, the former party chief executive, including claims that female candidates who wanted access to funding had to put up with harassment.

One woman claimed that she was molested at a party for Nick Clegg’s victory as Lib Dem leader, and there were also claims that MPs knew that women were the targets of harassment.

A former party worker claimed that it was “common knowledge” that Lord Rennard had tried to talk a young activist into bed, which was known in Lib Dem circles as the “Peterborough incident”.
Familiar stuff if you are a Guido reader.

Bunch of crims, the whole Lib Dem party. I think we've got more of this sort of news to follow.

This morning the BBC responded in early news bulletins to accusations that they knew about these LibDem molestation incidents but didn't report them by claiming that the women wouldn't cooperate in some way or other, yet that didn't stop the BBC Newsnight broadcast from (wrongly) implicating Lord McAlpine in terms of serious allegations.

How long until Joe Public just becomes entirely disenchanted with the political establishment?

I'm quite looking forward to it myself.

Sorry are you in some way suggesting this is a future event?

There's a little further to go IMO. "I'm Alright Jack" on the street sees politics as something that happens somewhere else and not much to do with them, and it suits parliament that way. That's beginning to change as it hits them in the pocket and is only a good thing.

This is obviously a deeply embarrassing incident for the LibDems.

I've no idea how they will deal with the fact that there is an apparent heterosexual in their midst!

I haven't had a chance to read up on this fully but they said on the radio that he tried to talk women into bed

I'm guessing there has to be more to it or I'm going to have to moderate my behaviour on a night out!

Bridget Harris, a former special adviser to Mr Clegg, said that in a hotel bar at a party conference, the peer repeatedly touched her legs without permission.

Mrs Harris said she reported the incident to party managers, but nothing was done.

Another, anonymous, Lib Dem woman, told the channel that the peer once “shoved his hand down the back of my dress”.
More than talk, allegedly.

Depending on other details your technique may be OK but I'd recommend not joining the LibDems whatever else the technique might involve wink

ERM how else do you get women into bed? Other than ask them?

Would anyone really want to shag a libdem?

The woman asks the man - revolutionary concept I know and possibly not in the LibDem manifesto.
