Do they train for air to air? A10s took out a couple of helicopters in the Gulf didn't they but not sure if they routinely train for it or it was a lucky shot.
The normal load out of A-10s include a pair of AIM-9s. They obviously don't train for air-to-air much, but they can do it. Plus, how hard is it to put the pipper on and brrrt?

Another anecdote, I remember watching cockpit HUD video from an F/A-18 at a RED FLAG exercise. He was saddled up on a B-52, trying to get off an AIM-9 shot. The B-52 carries prodigious amounts of flares, and was preventing a valid shot. While the F/A-18 was focused on the target in front of him, and A-10 sneaked up on him and killed him.

It would be a piece of cake to set something up to give NK junk information. A hackable database of military info would be right up there. Oldest trick in the book. laugh
maybe, but given half the major hacks, attacks etc seem to be attributed to either china or north korea recently, I wouldn't hold out so much hope.
If you think of NK as a pretty much walled off country, I'm really impressed they manage to do all the hacking that's reported. There must be some heavy coaching from China surely? Yes NK tend not to like the Chinese, but enemy of my enemy and all that.

As always Asian leadership playing the long game.

You have to have a sneaky admiration for them....

Hopefully no vitally important NK nuclear scientists were in the tunnel at the time.

Oh, and James, well done.
