Not much Trump can do

If he sends the F15s in, he will need the support of South Korea which they may not give as NK has an awful lot of conventional artillery which could shell Seoul as retaliation

Kim is probably ahead in the propaganda war at home, claiming he went to the talks for peace and the Americans refused to negotiate.
Kim has to get his timing right, he needs to get concessions from the Americans before Trump gets the boot in 18 months, as the next President will likely shut the door in his face.

American governments like to have a bogey man somewhere, It justifies their military spending and highlights to the world that they are the guardians of freedom and democracy. NK is an easy target, countries like Iran less so.
Perhaps Trump won’t need to do much in the face of food shortages.

I doubt Kim cares, if millions starve he will either blame it on American sanctions or he wont tell the population how many are dying, and I doubt the starving will be looking to overthrow their dear leader.

One thing is for sure, his waistline wont be getting any slimmer.

There's lots Trump can do. Whether he chooses to do it is another matter...

I honestly think Seoul is less concerned about that than the aftermath of the war. Militarily the result is a foregone conclusion however that means 25 million people will need to be integrated into a radically different society, most will have minimal education and employable skills. I'm pretty sure the SK government has looked at the re-unification of Germany and realised it'll be 10 times worse for them.

SK's population is around 51 million. So nearly 50%.

There isn't much Trump can do militarily without the consent of the Joint Chiefs, and they're not exactly singing his tune after he's tried to rob them of 5 billion for his wall. On the diplomatic front, a tactful play with Beijing may yield better results than 100 F-15's (or even FA18's as it'll be mostly naval air forces) but Trump is hardly know for being deft and tactful. It's Beijing and Beijing alone that can pull Kim's strings.

Not without Chinese consent. And KJU is a very useful tool for the Chinese. The last thing they want is a pro-US Government on their borders.

Usually rather bigger than that. 4-6, perhaps more depending upon yield.

It was Kim, he was so busy out on the campaign trail, winning the hearts and minds, that he forgot to mail his absentee ballot.

The secretive nation's leader Kim Jong Un saw the event and hailed it as having "very weighty significance".

Oh dear, someone's getting banished or fed to the pigs soon frown

Either the train driver or the guy with the measuring tape.

Kim Jong Un is on his travels again - in the third video on the page the train travels a metre or so beyond where the red carpet has been set, and has to back up, while the flunkies look on all worried.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6953935/K...

Good flunky action in all the videos mind you, and some nice russian secret service agents skulking in the background.

All those flunkies that are already on the Vladivostok platform, does a whole separate train arrive the day before with them on?
