Interesting read on the BBC today about one of the "Peru Two":

I was (and still am to some degree) in the unsympathetic camp, but it's interesting to read about how she ended up in that situation. Young and naïve, the temptation of easy money too hard to resist, and before she knew it things had spiralled out of control.
Started reading this last night and then gave up halfway through. She was young and thick, which she admits. She now has a book out ready for Christmas so is plugging that.

I expect it to be from the perspective of a victim - she certainly comes across like that now whinging about jail and how its affected her life (but has managed to have twins, which many people can't). She needs to take a good hard look at herself and realise how fking lucky she is.

There’s an Irish lorry driver wondering whether the lure of easy money was worth it at the moment !
I really don’t think that loyalist Mo Robinson considers himself to be Irish.

As for calling her lucky, well, I can think of people that had better luck than her to be honest

No point in watching Total Recall - bloke goes off to Mars, the end
No point in reading the Bible, bloke gives out loaves, done
No point in going on holiday, sit by a pool, finished

I've no idea of the contents of the book, but its the sort of story I'd want my daughter to read so I can say 'don't ever be that stupid'.

Whilst i get your point, being a drug mule and then trying to make money off the back of it, is a little different.

As the article says all the sales money is going to her.

She's likely not that employable to be honest. Lots of people make mistakes. Lots of criminals write books. Better she does that than goes on benefits
