Reports on Radio 4 this morning of Russia restarting its anti-satellite program. Apparently were tracking unusual Russian satellite movement patterns.

Sorry, can't find a link

A note found on a Russian soldier in Donbas

it reads

russian soldier said:
They should’ve shot <me> in the very beginning instead… Kondratenko Dmitrij Viktorovich, 04/09/1975, Russia, Irkutsk, 246 Jaroslavskogo <str.>, <flat> 97. I’ve realized I was sent to be slaughtered like a bull. ‘Zarya’ b. (base?), Luhansk, arrived on 12/11/2014.
He was shot to death by Ukrainian soldiers while trying to approach their camp after crossing a minefield near Krymske village, Luhansk region.

If he was a conscript (cannon fodder) then I feel for him and his family.

If he was a soldier in the regular army...

He is so old that he can't be a conscript.

That is a good article, both in the insight into Russia but also the failings of NATO and especially the EU.

How soon before Putin puts the squeeze on the strange yet cosy arrangement that supplies Russian rockets to the USA's Atlas programme?

Seems that sanctions don't apply to Uncle Sam.

Meanwhile, in occupied Crimea, the populace gets a taste of Russian modern business practices.

and an interesting Russian article that claims the UK is Russia's number one enemy.

It used to be part and parcel of being in NATO, lots of heavy metal would churn up bits of Germany to hone their steely-eyed stares and ability to eat compo while avoiding being shouted at or turned into a trackpad. Nice to see our Challengers somewhere other than inside a big tin shed; I wonder how many sleepless nights the VMs had getting that lot ready for action, and how many hangar queens had bits robbed to make the others go? hehe

Counter-balance... In what sense does breitbart have anything to do with balance?
