What ever she was, what ever she did or did not do, it all seems pretty irrelevant now. No father should have to bury his child.

Always the way.

Poor kids. Be interested to see what the story behind this is.

Sad situation for the family, and it is a family matter. The media should perhaps moderate their coverage.

Why would they?

As sad as it is, this stuff sells papers for places like the mail, I do see what Pete is getting at, why do some cases deserve to be treated different by people and the press? Other times people are perfectly happy to have every last detail outed by the media for their own sense of interest and intrigue?

Whilst any death is sad, I don't get this outpouring of grief for someone who was famous for being someones daughter. She had a privileged upbringing, had a wild time in her youth and may well have died the death of so many of these type of people.

Shocking news frown

I feel for Bob, not only has he lost a wife in tragic circumstances, he is bringing up her child from another man who died in tragic circumstances, he now has to cope with losing a daughter in tragic circumstances. More than any man should have to cope with.

I can't help thinking about the 'does money buy you happiness' thread.

Clearly not.

She had money?

I suspect not. Wrotham in Kent is hardly 'Millionaire's Row', plus it isn't as though she'd ever had a proper job.

People like Peaches Geldof can't just go and work at Tesco. I suspect the reality of such a life may be grimmer than you think.

He didn't say that, he said you. You are offensive.
I struggle to comprehend people like you.

Tell you what, ny sister died not too long ago. Why not have a laugh about that?
thats awful but nothing to do with this fake celebrity sympathy. i leave you all to wallow in your sorrow for the druggie. and yes i do find the fact 2 mothers died trying to save their kids more upsetting than Geldof dieing. sorry if that fact is offensive. i find celebrity worship offensive but each to their own.
It's not fake celebrity sympathy or worship you moron, it's all about giving a st about other people and having a bit of decency.
I despair.
Agreed. I just found out a bloke in our street (who I've probably spoke to twice) has cancer, and will not see next christmas. I have no real connection to him, but the news was shocking to me. He will leave a wife and kids. Its just empathy with a family you have some knowledge of, and know that they have lost someone too early. No different to celebrity deaths.

Not any more. Thread tidied up and all crap deleted, plus some bans too.

Way beyond acceptable some of the utter shameful drivel that's been posted.

2 children
Loving husband
Loving father
A wonderful life ...but the ever present memories of her mother.

Such a shame and I hope her own children don't have the same lifelong issues like she did.

There is a strange irony in the amount of news this event will generate in relation to the coverage given to the thousands of African children still dying each week through disease and malnutrition, a cause that Bob has done wonders to champion and generate as much news awareness as possible....

It seems obvious that some people have taken light of this on here, it is tragic and not funny.
My thoughts go to Sir Bob Geldof for his loss of his daughter, I will echo what some have already said ,no parent should bury their child. RIP.
