They would say that though as their very existence depends on donations and while I don't have any knowledge of this outfit some charities have very good rates of pay indeed.
Probs started the outbreak intentionally?

I looked up the replication factor of Ebola expecting it to be high on the list... (RF is number of people someone may infect, bringing this to <0 by immunisation etc means the outbreak would die out).

Who needs their MMR jab eh? eek

Might I suggest you do a bit of research on the Wellcome Trust?

yes

Wasn’t quite sure if she was acting as a surrogate (or him a sperm donor) or if they’re genuinely going to raise the kids together albeit they won’t be together in that way as he’s gay.

Am I missing or something or are you discussing something from a different thread?

The Ebola nurse who covered up having it and came back home to the UK, imo she should be in jail as the consequences of her actions could have been catastrophic.

Latest who update

https://www.who.int/news-room/detail/14-06-2019-st...

“It was the view of the Committee that the outbreak is a health emergency in DRC and the region but does not meet all the three criteria for a PHEIC under the IHR. While the outbreak is an extraordinary event, with risk of international spread, the ongoing response would not be enhanced by formal Temporary Recommendations under the IHR (2005).“

There is a level of arrogance on PH at times that borders on ignorance, but this has well and truly smashed that barrier down and marched triumphantly on rolleyes

Indeed;to make that statement regarding the Wellcome Trust is remarkable, and rendered the caveat about not having "any knowledge of this particular outfit" rather unnecessary.

The other thing that surprises me is why there seem to be a lot of people who somehow think that because someone works for a charity, they shouldn't be well paid.

I think if trickywoo did his research, he’d come back and announce that Sir Henry Wellcome was a communist and all trust assets should be seized by the government then given back to the private sector.

"The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the Ebola crisis in the Democratic Republic of Congo a public health emergency of international concern.

The move should lead to more international support to help tackle the disease.

The outbreak in the DRC has killed more than 1,600 people.

This week, the first case was detected in the city of Goma, which is home to more than a million people.

Declaring a Public Health Emergency of International Concern is one of the most important acts the WHO can take.

It has done so only four times before - including for an Ebola outbreak in West Africa which killed more than 11,000 people."

According to reports, the passenger had been visiting a small village in Sierra Leone, but everyone got sick so she flew home...

Some reports are saying that this outbreak might not be the Ebola Zaire strain but a different mutation.
