New Ebola outbreak in DRC is 'truly frightening', says Wellcome Trust director
They would say that though as their very existence depends on donations and while I don't have any knowledge of this outfit some charities have very good rates of pay indeed.trickywoo said:

The story in the paper has a slight "WTF" to it though! !
Wasn’t quite sure if she was acting as a surrogate (or him a sperm donor) or if they’re genuinely going to raise the kids together albeit they won’t be together in that way as he’s gay.

“It was the view of the Committee that the outbreak is a health emergency in DRC and the region but does not meet all the three criteria for a PHEIC under the IHR. While the outbreak is an extraordinary event, with risk of international spread, the ongoing response would not be enhanced by formal Temporary Recommendations under the IHR (2005).“

"The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the Ebola crisis in the Democratic Republic of Congo a public health emergency of international concern.
The move should lead to more international support to help tackle the disease.
The outbreak in the DRC has killed more than 1,600 people.
This week, the first case was detected in the city of Goma, which is home to more than a million people.
Declaring a Public Health Emergency of International Concern is one of the most important acts the WHO can take.
It has done so only four times before - including for an Ebola outbreak in West Africa which killed more than 11,000 people."

According to reports, the passenger had been visiting a small village in Sierra Leone, but everyone got sick so she flew home...Aircraft in "quarantine" at Manchester Airport after flight from Paris had a passenger "taken ill". Passenger's trip originates from Sierra Leone.....
Some reports are saying that this outbreak might not be the Ebola Zaire strain but a different mutation.
