Americans complain of unsafe manoeuvres by Chinese fighter plane in close proximity to one of their aircraft in international airspace.

A few years ago the US made a similar complaint about over-aggressive Chinese fighter pilots; the US plane was in Chinese airspace on a spying mission, but that was quietly ignored by the yanks.

I wonder how the USAF would respond to Chinese military aircraft near America?

That's not an SU-27, it's a J-11BH, identified by it's Chinese Engines, Chinese weaponry, MAWS sensor, centered IRST, and black radome housing a Chinese radar.

The entire airframe has been tweaked to reduce weight and RCS signature.

The Russian SU-27 is very much inferior

Didn't that one crash? I seem to remember a collision between a US spy plane and a Chinese fighter a few years back, the US plane had to land in China somewhere.

The UN backs up the Chinese claim on that occasion. It was the Americans who were in the wrong.

The same way, but there is a professional way to go about it.
