My son worked for a local paper in London and, when a chap killed himself by jumping from the World Turned Upside Down public house, he came up with:

Man Jumps off the World

Later, when at LWT, they ran a bit on a corrupt parking warden. The heading was:

Bay Watch

And there was the report on the fire at the Hockenheim GP when Verstappen's Benetton caught fire.

Holocaust Mars German Race

This was just right on so many levels.

I forgot one on my lad's specials. A chap called Watson was in court of burglary charges so he ran with:

Watson Burgles Homes

In my apprenticeship days on one local weekly rag, we had a front page saddish story using this line:

'...the Congregation was held in St. Mary's Church...

but an unfortunate typo

the Congregation was hell in St. Mary's Church

I'm waiting for the story about a man who escaped from a mental institution, barricaded himself into a laundry, sexually assaulted the female owner, and then escaped

The headline? "Nut Screws Washer and Bolts"
