At the other extreme BMRB'ss recent poll is well up on everyone else where ukip is concerned, haven't seen their methodology so difficult to assess why this should be such an outlier either?

I don't know their methodology either, but looking back they have consistently given UKI)P high scores than the others. But interestingly the first para of your link says:http://www.tns-bmrb.co.uk/news/tns-poll-signs-ukip...

Whilst the latest TNS voting intentions poll has UKIP in third place with support at 17%, there is evidence that the tide is turning against UKIP and that their support may fall away ahead of the election. In particular, the importance of immigration as a public priority has been falling over the last six months and the public’s rating of Nigel Farage is becoming less positive. The new poll by TNS UK also reveals that support for UKIP is softer than for Labour and
Conservatives, with fewer of their supporters saying they will definitely vote for them.
which is consistent with other polls and assertions before about the votes for minority parties being softer (more so for greens than UKIP IIRC)Conservatives, with fewer of their supporters saying they will definitely vote for them.

Strange how the two main parties will talk about anything BUT avoid saying anything about immigration. Its like it does not exist.
The option to do anything about it doesn't exist. Except leave Europe, and then do something about it.They both have policies on Europe, that's where the answer to the immigration question sits.

Interesting excercise

Interesting excercise
66% Conservatives
Not surprising really but fundamentally fails as I disagree on the core UKIP policy - Europe. Other areas that differentiate UKIP from the Tories that align me with UKIP are the Environment and IHT but the European issue remains a solid reason I couldn't vote for them.
Plus my seat is genuinely Lab OR Con possibility and a vote for UKIP would increase the chance of a switch to Labour so tactically a non-starter as well!

Their policies are to stay in, and ask for reform they certainly will not get. They both have policies on Europe, that's where the answer to the immigration question sits.
Just had a chuckle on Radio 2.
Some Labour bint bleating on about zero hour contracts (which I am fed up of hearing about, it covers 2% of working people apparently) which are a massive problem because they are up 20% - didn't say how many of those 20% were previously unemployed in the Labour government mind. Tory fired back saying quite a lot of people employed by Labour are on zero hour contracts, Vine asked the woman if this was true and it was along the lines of "...but, but we're not exploiting them".
Right, so of this already small number of people on zero hour contracts, minus the ones that actually want the flexibility of them and minus those not being exploited and how many people have you got left and why are we hearing so much about them from Labour? They really are a bunch of fking morons.

Anyone hear the leader of Scottish Labour this morn on Today ? Jim Murphy.
What a prick. Entire premise is that CMD is a nasty man and SNP are his puppets.
"In Scotland we are behind in the opinion polls - yes, we're the underdogs - but the first ball's just been kicked in this campaign.
We're nowhere near half time, let alone the final whistle - we can turn this round. There are polls today that show that in 40 seats in Scotland, we're not 17% behind, we're 6% behind. We're within striking distance.
We've got a lot of work to do and we even know that improved poll this morning - if it was repeated on election day - we'd lose a lot of seats."
With such a rock solid presentation of the facts, its no surprise that they are going to be given a right shoeing next month.

According to the Andrew Neil interview someone linked to earlier, 30% dont want more hours and 17% are students so 47% who don't want full time leaving 53% who MAY have an issue, the number Neil was citing was a total of 700,000 on zero hours contracts the number being more or less what it was under labour.
So that nets out to 371000 who MAY have an issue on these contracts and the Tories have enacted a change to remove the most exploitative elements.
So given all that I don't see it being a huge problem
Personally I don't agree with them, except where an employee might request one and would never countenance using them in my business.
It's certainly not a huge problem (if a problem at all). It's just the most recent Labour soundbite that isn't backed up in any way with any facts, but just makes them sound like the party of the downtrodden working class. Labour can't say much else about the economy because, much to their annoyance, the Tories plans for a recovery are actually working. So that nets out to 371000 who MAY have an issue on these contracts and the Tories have enacted a change to remove the most exploitative elements.

Right at the moment I want to throw a brick at the screen whenever a Labour spokesperson says anything about anything. In one breath they blame the Tories for savage cuts and austerity and the in the next they berate them for not cutting the deficit. Does anyone with a modicum of brain cells actually fall for this rubbish?

I get exactly the same feeling.
Not usually one for the meme thing but this one is just perfect for whenever I see anything pro Labour.

I think it's useful to know what business leaders want so that we can vote for the exact opposite.)

I know.
It's simply bizarre that people think it would be a good idea to vote for them!
People who quote Franky Boyle and the sort of people who write underneath:It's simply bizarre that people think it would be a good idea to vote for them!
Michelle Thomas: Good for business = bad for workers and poor x
With that kind of logic there is nothing that can be said to help.

1) since when does frankie Boyle's opinion count for anything? (any more than the multi-millionaire actor in last nights Labour broadcast).
2) without business, there would be no jobs. (or do you think the public sector should employ everybody?)
