Probably the fact that you raced through what you saw with no full stops or punctuation made it impossible for them to write it all down.

They probably thought, "This should be dealt with by the grammar police".

The 'authorities' in this country just see to be obsessed with Political Correctness, its like it's the only thing that really matters to them. Burglaries, thefts, shop lifting, thuggery, anti-social behaviour, crimes carried out by the low life in our society seem to be ignored, they can carry on doing it with impunity. Whilst a bad taste comment by a middle class person on social media seems to be classed as the crime of the century, and the police spring into action. WTF is going on??

I think it a joke that the police are wasting tax payers money on this, it is obscene.

"Police Scotland will thoroughly investigate any reports of offensive or criminal behaviour online and anyone found to be responsible will be robustly dealt with."

However, I bet if I call them up and tell them my website has been hacked they will do f*** all about it.
I think 'Robust' should be voted the word most used by anyone in authority last year, I wonder what this years word will be? ( Raft was 2013's word of the year, as in raft of measures to address X )

Apparently Hopkins has received a raft of death threats from Scots as a result of her tweet.

Should be interesting...

Interesting because you're a Katie fan or the opposite and wonder whether it'll happen wink or whether the police realise that personalised threats to life are a different bucket of haggis?

Isn't the internet great for fostering brotherly (and sisterly) love.

Invent a fantastic way of communicating and soon you will have unleashed a whole new way of letting people vent their bile and nastiness at each other.

Just demonstrates what is wrong with social media, gives everyone a platform, some may make good use of it others don't.

She was on Jeremy Vine yesterday talking about her weight experiment. Seemed to be talking sense!

There were two programmes on Radio 4 this week about gossip. The second one mentioned gossip and social media.

The one lastnight mentioned MRI scans and how we may be hardwired to pick fault in others. Perhaps organised religion was one way of counteracting inbuilt unpleasantness? Would being genetically hardwired to pick fault with others lead to group hate and stuff like ISIS?

If the police are to get involved in the counter threats, would it show how ill thought out the legislation is?

So the police can investigate that while they say they can't investigate 50,000 leads of downloads of child pornography as it's too much and they it wouldn't be easy to identify who downloaded the child abuse images or the credit cards used to pay for them?

The ConDem pact, like New Labour before them, seem to be addicted to creating legislation whether it can be enforced or not. As someone pointed out in the HoL, Grayling wants to create legislation that protects 'have a go heroes'. But aren't they protected in law already, and isn't just creating new laws to send a message? New laws are advertorials?

And how many times have i been called an english by the very same folk screaming they are offended
Why has this episode turned into a Scottish bashing thread?

Katie Hopkins has been discussed a million times on the internet, she's been given dogs abuse, threatened, multiple complaints to TV companies, papers and the police, yet the vast majority of people were more concerned with her behaviour.

Now that the comments were aimed at a Scot, people have now twisted the issue to be the Scottish. It's not only Scottish people that are offended if you take time to read comments made by other people.

McWigglebum, I've seen your name pop up in quite a few threads and you seem to want to put the boot into Scotland and Scottish people whenever you can.

I wouldn't ever call you an English , but I can see why people would find you irritating and respond in a negative manner to you. It reads as you make an effort to gain a reaction.

Who are the people that have called you an English that are now complaining about Katie Hopkins?

Even if one or two people have called you an English , does that really have any relevance in the fact tens of thousands of others might find Katie's behaviour unacceptable, and always have?

People are having a go at people being too easily offended, then making mountains out of mole hills themselves.

That's kind of the selective policing I was driving at earlier.

Is it just me but I always end up thinking less about the people who use the word racist, and more into wishing they would invest in a dictionary.
that's the legal definition of racist abuse though - "...threatening, abusive or insulting to another person because of that person's colour, race, nationality (including citizenship) or ethnic or national origin. " (my bold)

What about when the English sent her death threats before? What does that say about the English? What about the petition that was started to ban her from TV after her appearance on This Morning that had nothing to do with Scotland?

I'm sure most people have the intelligence to stand back and see that every part of the world has its share of idiots.

We've got more than our fair share on here, quite clearly.

I like the fact that a couple of death threats by idiotic people, and suddenly that represents millions. I really wonder what goes through some people's head at times.

There seems to be a lot of people who like to attempt to be trolls, even if it does make they sound a bit daft.

So why introduce the fact it's the people who call you an English that have the issue? Who were we supposed to guess you were trying to belittle and would call you an English ?

How do you know who is complaining and who's been calling you an English ?

Are you sure you're just not making up more nonsense to push home your own bitterness?

I seems to me you have far more of an issue than the people you attack on a regular basis. Can't you make your point with more tact rather than just coming across as a troll?
