Talking of S. Africa, my colleague's daughter has lived there for years, as she married a S. African (black, not white). She tells me that what the ruling party has been doing to the whites there is barbaric, but nothing ever gets reported about the rapes and killings, especially the treatment of the white farmers, that has be prevalent for some time now. Perhaps it doesn't fit the narrative. At least, this is what I was told from someone who actually lives there.

Offending someone by saying something they don't like or insulting them IS freedom of speech. Actively calling for someone to be physically harmed is not.
