Carefully worded isn’t it. hehe
I did think that though I don't know if sometimes you see these things if you look for them.

I'd have expected a much more equivocal "Clear error of judgement on my part".

It leaves a lot of room for doubt IMO.

"He saw him infrequently"

I bet he was in, frequently.

Well you know what they say - innocent until all the witnesses are dead and the evidence 'lost'.

It’s the bit about not witnessing the behaviour that led to his conviction.

Q. Andrew, what behaviour did you witness and take part in?
A. I didn’t witness the kind of behaviour that subsequently led to his arrest and conviction.

You know what is odd? That statement is just a series of checklists as if trying to ensure everything is covered.
You can see how they would write and rewrite a line at a time.

Reminds me of when I'm trying to explain why something has gone wrong and trying to not get the company sued.

Well yes.

I used to have a girlfriend who was a lawyer. I think if I was in a situation where I was having to explain something without incriminating myself too much and I made that kind of statement, she called it “wilfully withholding the truth”

Still it’s a statement not an answer so maybe it’s not too dishonest, or dishonest at all.

I think a simple litmus test is does it answer questions or simply ask more?

Based on that statement it's not going to go away.

The fact an official communication has been issued is a very clear attempt to set out a market, to distance Prince Paedo from his bff.

I think times have changed and now it’s much more difficult to buy everyone off.

If Andy thinks that statement will draw a line under this sordid affair then he is seriously mistaken.

Just another leech who thinks rules and laws don’t apply because of what family he was born into and expects us plebs to just carry on and believe his nonsense and not to have the temerity to question his actions.

Man’s a moron.

That statement is a bit like a ropey 3rd party warranty provider - not worth the paper it is written on..

Of course he is going to say he didn't see anything - if he did, he isn't going to admit it and if he did admit it that's game over for him. I genuinely see that as a statement of guilt and as much as I think the Daily Mail is the worst of the worst I'm glad they are dredging up stories to take him down.

Lots of people didn't know Epstein.

"Those who did comment often said they were in the book because of their ties to Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s socialite girlfriend, alleged enabler and business associate.

Ghislaine’s father Robert Maxwell was a venerable British newspaper publisher and former member of parliament who named his yacht the Lady Ghislaine."

How did I not know this, must be living a sheltered life.

I did wonder at venerable, there were a lot of interesting stories in Private Eye before he went swimming.

Didn't realise that the charge that Epstein admitted was for pimping a 14 yr old - didn't realise she was THAT young.

Just shows our royal family for what they are.

No, that's the charge that the federal prosecution - led by acosta, who ended up trump's labour Secretary - the trump who is a co accused of raping another 13 yr old girl - ended up agreeing to sweetheart charge him while waving the dozens of other charges and granting immunity to all the potential conspirators - agreed with him as a plea.

Oh, while not telling or agreeing it with the victims, as required by law.

This whole thing stinks.

The bit the royals are desperately hoping will work is "to avoid further speculation".

The rest is a lot of very carefully qualified saying of nothing.

Is it just me, or did you read that thinking 'this is a spoof, piss-take statement', waiting for the funny bit?

Got to the end, oh, nope, it's for real (that was when I really laughed!) rofl

Wonder how many flunkey-hours it took to write that load of old horse-st?

So since 1999 Prince Andrew saw his mere acquaintance Epstein more times and more frequently than I have seen my three best friends in total scratchchin
