I’m on a few fb sites which are “secret” or “closed” primarily because they are for old sweats to chew the fat in private

Some of the comments from those on there that worked around the royals and particularly the subject of this thread are pretty damning as to his character

I’m not going to repeat them for obvious reasons but .. if half of what is being said is true ( and I don’t doubt any of it )

Noticed an unpleasant oily smell in your kitchen Palace, or found irregular brown marks on floors and work surfaces? If so, you most likely have cockroaches.'

Someone I know worked in Royal Protection for Andrew a good few years back. Although they weren't indiscreet in any way, they were far from complimentary about his condescending attitude too.

Dead?

They are all parasites. I'd have them all selling hotdogs and plastic crowns in Trafalgar Square. But that's for another topic.

Although it’s a bit bizarre that our head of state is from the same family (unless there some regicide or whatever) I actually really like the queen.

What is odd though is that all her children have gone a bit wrong and had pretty disastrous personal and even professional lives. Is this just a product of the weird environment they live and grew up in, and not really having a proper role but loads of money and possibly influence whilst still being effectively powerless and victim to the media and public or is this actually the Queen and Philip’s fault?

Andrew and Fergie and Charles, seem to have done a slightly better job of raising their own children though.

If I was a parent and my kids ended up like Andrew Charles and Edward (despite all the opportunities they’ve been given) I’d be thinking I’d done a pretty bad job tbh.

Or was it beyond the queen’s control and just down to the circumstances they grew up in at the time? Perhaps the next generation of royals were much better looked after?

As far as I can make out, the Royals are human beings just like the rest of us. They eat, sleep and st and put their underpants on one leg at a time (or if you're Prince Charles, you get someone to do it for you).

So, my question is, how do I get my turn at being Royalty?

You have to marry The Queen, or Charles or William.

None of the anecdotes would amount to criminal behaviour .. but as alluded to on here just give an idea as to his character in general

His attitude and behaviour towards the “help” in general even though they weren’t the “help” they were the “protectors” which is a big difference, stinks
ah, ok, sorry for getting the wrong end of the stick beer

I’ve got a few weeks off mid September if that helps?

Always enjoy a good regicide.

Historically the offspring of a Monarch have all gone off the rails. Some more than others.

Recently there was Victoria's Bertie who would get up on a cracked plate, never mind anything with a pulse. Then there was David (Eddie VIII) who was of a similar bent and caused a constitutional crisis to boot. Then we have Charlie wishing he was Camilla's tampon. Andy who seems to like year 9 and 10 at school. Edward who is gay. Young Harry who has to remember to call Charles dad in public. Oh, I forgot Auntie Mags who smoked, shagged, scalded and drank herself to death....

Recent TV documentaries have shown what appalling parents Victoria and Albert and then George V and Queen Mary were. It seems to get handed down.

I think the many of the staff would have been considered better parents. More love for the nanny’s than the aloof mum and dad.

Was Prince Phillip ever known as a philanderer back in his day?

I used to share a flat with a media person who alleged Andrew was subject to one of those D-notice things, and when you google the rumour there are only one or two results of note about it. Separately I got to know a journalist years later who pretty much said the same thing.
