Paxman would have strung him up. Maitlis switched off the CCTV and turned a blind eye for half an hour.

That’s why Paxman had no chance of getting the gig, due to his overly aggressive style

He was never going to be interviewed by a man. A girly bird would be easier to schmooze, right?

He's going to get followed by paparazzi every summer, trying to get a photo of him sweating.

Unfortunately the royal rats will always take priority over a few broken lives. When Mr Trump arrives on a few weeks dear old Liz will no doubt give him a suggestion to ‘make the FBI’ go away, then we can see a way clear for a few more golf courses and special visas for the candidates with ‘unfortunate’ personal histories.

Do you really think the royal family would allow Andrew to be given up? Not happening. Best he could do is take the honourable way out, but one won’t have the balls for that.

Surely some might re photos need to one out now? Paps must have photos from this time period that looked innocuous at the time but that might be able to paint a different picture now...?

Or maybe old friends of Andrew that no longer respect him?

We just need that one photo that contradicts him and in turn buries him.

Just out of interest, if he doesn't remember meeting/ shagging her, how on earth does he know he was at pizza express?

Someone probably maintains his appointment diary, which are often retained.

In that case we agree.
My point about Paxman was he's like a dog with a bone, he will keep probing even ten times until his subject cracks.

I concede though, that Andrew would never have agreed to be questioned by him.

The best interviewer hands the subject a shovel and stands back as they dig their own grave....

Let’s the subject think it’s going well.....

It’s the fking BBC. You may as well ask a starving homeless person if a Big Mac tastes great. The BBC is part of the institutional BS.

I can’t believe anyone would fall for this completely staged pile of crap. Six months in the making and despite many people carefully constructing things it still looks like he’s guilty.

He must have been briefed by the BBC about what questions would be asked. Also his team would have had some element of editing rights.

One thing he could have done is his team could have looked at old diaries (they will still exist) and he would be able to conclusively say “I went to his Miami house 4 times” or “I we in Canada that night” or similar.

He could have more effectively tried to shut this down with a bit of easy preparation. Instead, my view is he has just shot himself in the foot and made all the allegations more compelling.

I'm liking all the reviews for the pizza express in woking.

'It has been 18 years since I visited, but I remember it like it was yesterday. I was sweating profusely. So were all the other customers. It was hot. The pizza was spicy. The atmosphere was electric. But one man, one mysterious man was ice cool, sweat free. I'll never forget it. He was like a Prince amongst men.'

Has it ever looked like he might not be guilty? He’s always looked it to me. Quite a lot of evidence seems to suggest so and he hasn’t given one piece of information to suggest otherwise.

The man’s an embarrassing disgrace to the UK in any event; nothing new there.
