100% Each and every one of his still alive protection officers since he left education etc Will have been “interviewed” . The Queen and the head of the Met will want to know anything . Maybe they get told they will be protected from Andrew should they have information that might hurt the Royal families Reputation etc. He is without doubt the “top of the “st list” Royal when it comes to staff feelings etc . They bloody hate him and by all accounts he has had a few run ins with protection staff who just refused to take his rudeness . They hold probably more info about his private life than anyone else. Guilty or Not in this case .He most certainly has earned his reputation of using his position and wealth when it comes to young women .

Those calling for Paxman may I suggest be judging the art of cross examination on the basis of American films and TV shows. In reality, things are rarely like A Few Good Men and the Colonel rarely admits to ordering the Code Red. The Maitlis approach gets better results.

The interviewee is left like the Black Knight in the Holy Grail, or like a hapless tabloid reader who has just spectacularly lost an online debate, but does not realise it and may even think that he or she has won (see PH and all known internet fora 24/7 365). The audience can usually see what a state the interviewee is in as Maitlis says “... and coming up next, a cat up a tree”.

It should be remembered that he has his position simply through an accident of birth. Nothing more complicated than that.
We are incredibly lucky that nothing worse happens.
The wonder of the hereditary system. Some people still believe in the 'leading' gene. biggrin

I'm liking all the reviews for the pizza express in woking.

'It has been 18 years since I visited, but I remember it like it was yesterday. I was sweating profusely. So were all the other customers. It was hot. The pizza was spicy. The atmosphere was electric. But one man, one mysterious man was ice cool, sweat free. I'll never forget it. He was like a Prince amongst men.'
Excellent biggrin

Do you really think the royal family would allow Andrew to be given up? Not happening. Best he could do is take the honourable way out, but one won’t have the balls for that.
Depends how bad it gets. The royals aren't above jettisoned a bad egg when it's stink gets too bad for the picnic hamper.

Paxman is like a great actor, once the crème de la crème , but as time moves on, they become a parody of themselves and only a glimmer of that once greatness can be perceived through the histrionics

Andrew might be the Queens “little boy” . But his relationship with both Charles and Ann has a slight “distance” between them. But I truly think the Queen would NEVER do anything in her power to try and Nobble investigations etc.She is too Loyal to her Title >So should she have info on Andrew than might be placed on the table in front of him >To reign his neck in if required. She will do it .

Some of the common features of descriptions of the behaviour of sociopaths:

Glibness and Superficial Charm

Manipulative and Conning
They never recognise the rights of others and see their self-serving behaviours as permissible. They appear to be charming, yet are covertly hostile and domineering, seeing their victim as merely an instrument to be used. They may dominate and humiliate their victims.

Grandiose Sense of Self
Feels entitled to certain things as "their right."

Pathological Lying
Has no problem lying coolly and easily and it is almost impossible for them to be truthful on a consistent basis. Can create, and get caught up in, a complex belief about their own powers and abilities. Extremely convincing and even able to pass lie detector tests.

Lack of Remorse, Shame or Guilt
A deep seated rage, which is split off and repressed, is at their core. Does not see others around them as people, but only as targets and opportunities. Instead of friends, they have victims and accomplices who end up as victims. The end always justifies the means and they let nothing stand in their way.

Shallow Emotions
When they show what seems to be warmth, joy, love and compassion it is more feigned than experienced and serves an ulterior motive. Outraged by insignificant matters, yet remaining unmoved and cold by what would upset a normal person. Since they are not genuine, neither are their promises.

Incapacity for Love

Need for Stimulation
Living on the edge. Verbal outbursts and physical punishments are normal. Promiscuity and gambling are common.

Callousness/Lack of Empathy
Unable to empathise with the pain of their victims, having only contempt for others' feelings of distress and readily taking advantage of them.

Poor Behavioural Controls/Impulsive Nature
Rage and abuse, alternating with small expressions of love and approval produce an addictive cycle for abuser and abused, as well as creating hopelessness in the victim. Believe they are all-powerful, all-knowing, entitled to every wish, no sense of personal boundaries, no concern for their impact on others.

Early Behaviour Problems/Juvenile Delinquency
Usually has a history of behavioural and academic difficulties, yet "gets by" by conning others. Problems in making and keeping friends; aberrant behaviours such as cruelty to people or animals, stealing, etc.

Irresponsibility/Unreliability
Not concerned about wrecking others' lives and dreams. Oblivious or indifferent to the devastation they cause. Does not accept blame themselves, but blames others, even for acts they obviously committed.

Promiscuous Sexual Behaviour/Infidelity
Promiscuity, child sexual abuse, rape and sexual acting out of all sorts.

Lack of Realistic Life Plan/Parasitic Lifestyle
Tends to move around a lot or makes all encompassing promises for the future, poor work ethic but exploits others effectively.

Criminal or Entrepreneurial Versatility
Changes their image as needed to avoid prosecution. Changes life story readily.

Well, how does he score? Looks like a full house to me!

Has it ever looked like he might not be guilty? He’s always looked it to me. Quite a lot of evidence seems to suggest so and he hasn’t given one piece of information to suggest otherwise.
.
He has - he has given 2. He was at a pizzeria on 1 of the accused occasions. Since that can undoubtedly be proved (or why would he say it) then it makes the accusations false. The sweat thing too.

The sweat thing sounds like BS. But I imagine he does have official diaries that go back that far so it can be proved where he was on a particular day. As long as they haven't been tampered with of course.

I would point out that taking your 10 year old daughter out for pizza party in the early evening doesn’t stop you going to tramp nightclub with some squeeze later in the evening. I seem to remember nightclubs being pretty empty and soulless before about 11.30.

Why would an obvious liar say something that can easily be proven or disproven? Dunno. Lying liars gonna lie, maybe? Ask POTUS or any one of the current leading UK politicians. Lovely to see a Royal holding up the Monarchical end against all those pesky commoner fibbers.

Very quick journey for a Royal, Woking to Up West, as long as you don't ask your dad or your ex sister in law's driver to drive.

Amazing that Andrew has actually made it worse with that disastrous interview.

Has all the hallmarks of some pompous windbag thinking he can represent himself and knows more than the PR experts.

Agreed; It’s just been reported that Prince Andrew’s PR advisor resigned as a result of the Duke’s decision to do the interview.
