Oh, so it's all the BBC's fault for Jeremy Clarkson behaving like a drunken, abusive bellend?! How could I not see it?!!!!! The BBC should of course be held 100% responsible for Jezz lad going into a pub, getting pissed, coming back to the hotel too late, bullying a colleague when he wasn't offered a hot steak and then punching him in the face. Jez is innocent, BBC is guilty.
Seriously though, your response is actually the most idiotic I've seen in this 250+page thread which is a winning achievement! Well done.
Did I say that Clarkson was innocent or are you just being a dick?Seriously though, your response is actually the most idiotic I've seen in this 250+page thread which is a winning achievement! Well done.

Really not sure why this book on 'who's taking over from Jezza' is even being made when the answer surely is 'nobody'. Hammond and May have all but said they won't stay on without him. Given that TG is all about those three, the programme name is just that: a name. Why does anyone seriously think TG will continue to be made? It's dead, move on, nothing to see here etc. All we have to do is wait for them to pop up somewhere else.
I'm not entirely sure whether we'll see Jez on something anytime soon to be brutally honest. Whilst his behaviour has been completely inexcusable (and not just recently either), he's obviously got MAJOR issues in his life.
Death of his mother, cheated on his wife, expensive, protracted divorce, numerous work problems and what seems to be major alcohol issues too. Every time he's done personal appearances in the last few months he seems to be half cut/drunk. Even he and his friends (such as A.A. Gill) have admitted in print that he's drinking far too much at present.
I think Sky and other commercial entities will be reluctant to touch him until things improve for him.

Taking robemcdonald's post into account...so no offence from me either as it appears to have started from a misunderstanding on one part at least...
Maybe you too should take a look at the post that I replied to, though it might deflate your me-too glee.
Seeing others jump in the same puddle and end up out of their depth has been amusing, and there may be room at the shallow end for more yet.
I read it. It just reminded me of an old song I liked, that's all. Maybe you too should take a look at the post that I replied to, though it might deflate your me-too glee.

So not really glee, and no deflation required.

You pretty much intimated that the BBC were at fault for what happened which is absolutely and completely retarded.
You dont think the beeb were complicit?Answer me one question, why was it 6 days before we heard anything?
Again, who was in the pub getting pissed? Who delayed the helicopter for a number of hours? Who knew that the chef finished cooking hot food at a certain time? Who was incredibly abusive to Tymon for having the temerity to serve him a cold platter? Who then punched Tymon in the face in front of at least a dozen witnesses? Who caused such a scene at the hotel in front of numerous paying guests that the hotel manager went into the kitchen to personally cook him a steak? I think you'll find the answer to all of those questions was in fact Clarkson.
This is merely Clarkson hitting the self-destruct button. Even he's admitted in print that he has a drink problem and so have his friends such as A.A. Gill. He has only himself to blame in this instance.

There was no investigation for 6 days, Clarkson was not suspended until he handed himself in after 6 days.
That to me begs a question why 6 days? if like you say the BBC wanted to sort it internally he would have still been suspended, filming would not have stopped on that episode as it would not have started.
I reckon drunken rants by stars is the norm just as picking up their bar tabs is. I know from reports that at least 5 BBC employees knew what had happened but what I don't know is why the BBC did nothing.
It was all a small incident as James May suggests or is it just a normal day at the office?

To be honest, it's up to the BBC how they investigate matters. If Clarkson had been an employee, he'd have been sacked for gross misconduct for that issue alone regardless of his previous misdemeanors. Instead they decided not to renew his contract. As for James May, I don't think he's going to give a completely honest, objective opinion as he has a lot to gain/lose from all of this. He obviously doesn't want to alienate himself from Clarkson.
The fact is Clarkson is no longer on Top Gear and there are good reasons for that.

You seem to be ignoring the point, you called me stupid for saying the BBC was complicit and when I ask a question you just try and deflect it when you know just as I do that the BBC as an employer operates outside of normal employment practice and when it all goes tits up they seem to always get away with it.As for James May, I don't think he's going to give a completely honest, objective opinion as he has a lot to gain/lose from all of this. One BBC executive said it was like the Seville saga and I tend to agree as nobody at the BBC seems to have been held accountable for that either.

You're being pedantic for the sake of being pedantic. Their legal team probably know far more about Employment Law than you do. One BBC executive said it was like the Seville saga and I tend to agree as nobody at the BBC seems to have been held accountable for that either.
If there are any irregularities, we'll likely hear about them at some stage but I suspect we won't.
Clarkson was a complete c*ck hence the reason he's no longer on Top Gear.

The legal team knew nothing, just like you for 6 days.
Why?
Are you that blind to the inadequacies of the BBC that you will comletely ignore their failings?
It was people like you that made it possible for that dirty fkin nonce saville to gain so much pleasure and cause so much pain.
That BBC executive said it was like Savile, and it was, but not for the reasons he was thinking. It was like Savile because for a considerable period of time there were BBC managers who knew about this event and did nothing about it.
It's frankly disgusting that until Clarkson reported it nobody did anything.

Deary me. You're a pedantic, hysterical winner who can't spell or even write a semi-coherent sentence. I feel sorry for you. The legal team knew nothing, just like you for 6 days.

Clarkson's contract wasn't renewed and for good reason. How many times do I have to say this?
I suspect no one wanted to report what had happened because they didn't want to upset the apple cart (it's obviously a very successful show) or incur the wrath of a rich, powerful man in Clarkson.
The current situation has nothing to do with Jimmy Savile and you're a brain dead retard for even suggesting it. It may have escaped your attention but Savile's crimes were not just a failing of the BBC but of numerous Governments regardless of political persuasion, the intelligence services (particularly MI5), innumerable police forces and practically everyone in the entertainment business. The guy used to take 12 year old girls to lunch and feel them up/kiss them at the table. How much more brazen can you be?!
Let's not forget that Savile was also very close friends with Margaret Thatcher who gave a knighthood to a pederast in Cyril Smith despite the fact that she was made well aware of his disgusting deviations. What does that say about her?!
To be brutally honest though, I've neither the time nor the inclination to respond to any of your idiotic posts in future. Thanks.

I think you've said that before.Savile very close friend of Margaret Thatcher.
Margaret Thatcher knew what Cyril Smith was doing.
Where did you get that information?
