Haven't they lost their deposit in the last few by elections and with the self inflicted HIV ex rent boy and the gender bender standing it looks like they could lose a few more all been well.
Any party that feels a mentally-ill lunatic who deliberately got himself HIV-infected is worthy of representing people in parliament has no credibility whatsoever.

I can't help but feel that we're storing up trouble with an economy becoming so distorted towards Services only - manufacturing, production and construction all appear to have been struggling over the last 5 years, and with growth slowing I can't see that changing any time soon:

Ask the BBC...

My guess is that UKIP's defence policy is too powerful a message for the Leftie BBC

agreed, getting any of the main three parties to admit that so close to an election is a non starter though.

not sure if this has been posted yet ? https://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/end-the-bbc... might not achieve very much, but at least it will let those that believe they are untouchable within the bbc know the natives are getting restless.

It is on page 83 of this thread, in case anyone doubts me.

You are clearly correlating UKIP and the BNP. You are also correlating tattoos and the BNP. You either see nothing wrong with the BNP, or you are attempting to insult UKIP supporters, and also people with tattoos.

I wonder if you think that you are more intelligent than people with tattoos? I suspect that you do.
So what if he does? WHat have you won by making that point?
Why is everyone so desperate to make such an irrelevant point that they are willing to go at it for 15 pages?

Here, just pick on me instead:

I believe that if you took the average intelligence of people with tattoos and compared it with the average intelligence of people without, the latter would have a higher average or at the very least a better education.

There.
I'm not going to pick on you for a few reasons.

1) I enjoy your posts.

2) I don't pick fights with people who are more clever than I am.

3) TKF annoyed me with his sneering. You haven't done this. You have a propensity to display a slight feeling of superiority, but nothing that causes any offence.

I wish you well.

Your concern is justified and the distortion is real and harmful.

This is just one of the many negative aspects of Thatcher's team of worst forms of narrowly focused short-term-fix Torys coming home to roost. They jointly were wrongly convinced this Nation could not only survive but thrive without manufacturing and construction.

How right those short sighted Torys were rolleyes

Those Germans will be sorry taking their indigenous Manufacturing seriously. Unlike us Brits. the Germans when both VW and BMW were in deep financial doo-dah back around the 70-80s, that Nation's folks provided effective support at all important levels which produced the numerous success stories we see today and for the past couple of decades and more.

So, by surgically and methodically removing this Nation's Industrial spine kill two birds with one stone by completely severing the blood lines of the Unions. Union problems sorted.... What a bonus.

How right they were and wrong those German mugs were to sustain their manufacturing indigenous base through those difficult times... rolleyes

Both the Tory and Labour Parties are always in the control of their respective paymasters who call the tune and above all, that means effective Government is of the quality and level we see here time and time again.

On that basis, no adversarial UK "Them and Us" Government will come up with the answers and effective solutions to all these problems. Only all the people of Team UK can do that. Unfortunately the FPTP "THem and Us" system with ever increasing interference from Brussels and the EU will ensure we as a Nation will not be allowed to do that.

We've become a Nation excelling at getting far too many things wrong for far too long. Nigel Farage has highlighted many of the negative factors and continues to draw attention to them as they will never simply go away unless addressed effectively. Rightly so. My worry is that it is already far too late.

OK Team UK prove me wrong! Be delighted if you do..... Correction, I'll be ecstatic.

I've just further convinced myself to vote UKIP. My long trip today saw a few more UKIP posters in front gardens and rather more Labour ones have since sprung up where until two days ago there were none! Not seen a single Tory poster anywhere locally. So my large ( for me ) bet on the local Tory holding onto his seat may be in jeopardy ...

Vote UKIP. We're doomed otherwise because '''

The Government Always Gets In.

All in my humble opinion of course.

Not too sure about our manufacturing I am reminded of the Top Gear parade of British Vehicle on the Mall and that was just wheeled vehicles not boats planes or trains.
We still manufacture many things and many quality things at that.

Firstly, as I have asked before, in what way are the service industries worth less than the others. They tend to have a higher value added so earn the UK more, so why the negativity

Secondly, you do realise that your own graph shows manufacturing up significantly in the last 5 years?

Where am I suggesting that services are worth less? What the graph shows is that the current economic growth is entirely dependent on that sector. That's not looking like a balanced recovery and perhaps explains why, for all this talk of growth, there's an awful lot of people not yet seeing signs of it in their lives.
