To clarify and I may have speed-read.I think our guys were not sold down the river (though I think many were poorly supported on return) - they defended the Falklands against an invasion that we were only just about equipped to fight.
I think the Argentinian soldiers were sold down the river - as the invasion was for no real gain - just posturing, so a double insult to their skills as soldiers.
