No one likes cyclists. Not in London anyway.
I think cyclists have an easier time in London than elsewhere, everyone is used to them being around.

I have been shoved off my bike by a ped. I was in cleats though and went down a steep embankment and into a hedge about 5m meters down - cuts and bruises mainly - because the bike stopped me from tumbling over and over could easily have been broken bones.

I got free of the bike, scrambled back up, chased him down (god bless MTB SPDs - great traction) and had a few words interlaced with punches to his face.

Which is something I wasnt expecting to have to do on a saturday afternoon ride in my local town.

Just to be clear, which are you referring to?
The man who decided to knock a woman off her bicycle for nothing more than making a hand signal made towards him. He makes it even worse with his 'come on then' comment. A real fking hero, what a man.

The most disgraceful thing is there are people on here justifying his actions.

The lot of you and the moron who pushed the lady are scum.

I think you should of used the phrase 'sub-human scum'. It's got a bit more impact and it worked for Partridge.

Agreed, pretty shocking. Probably the same type that would say 'she was asking for it' if he had sexually assaulted her. I'm no fan of cyclists but there is no justification for what he did.

What an angry violent little st he is. Hopefully he'll get his comeuppance.

This happened in May, incidentally. I wonder how and why this has only just become newsworthy and/or of interest to the Police? It's mildly perplexing.

With a temper like that I'm surprised the police don't have him on file anyway.

Cyclist definitely shook her head at the ped on the way past.
Never! The bh!!!

The bloke should have got all muslim with her, they'd definitely know what to deal properly with that.

Meanwhile I can look forward to a good witch hunt once he's outed. smile

Nobody is justifying the man's actions. Quote one person who's said that the cyclist deserved it.

It's a simple actions have consequences situation. Like if you accidentally nudge some angry bloke in a pub and he spills his pint. Chances are you'll get beat up. This isn't fair and the bloke is 100% wrong but it's obvious that if you watched where you were hoing more carefully and didn't walk into him it wouldn't have happened. I accept that in some situations, angry man will punch you no matter what, you cant mitigate yourself against everything.

Some of us are constantly aware (paranoid maybe) of how our actions might affect others. Other people just don't thnk like that at all (which is fine).

What kind of bloke attacks a woman cyclist, regardless of the provocation?

The whole "you mug" Danny Dyer-ness of it is astounding, this prick has got some serious anger issues.

I prescribe a thorough kicking once apprehended. The mug.

Except that in this case she didn't start it, so it's more like angry bloke spills your pint and you don't act humble and meek enough.

I haven't watched it, thought the cyclist shook their head or made hand gesture at the pedestrian. Your example it probably better though, i'd be as apologetic as possible in either situation. I don't wanna be involved in a fight/confrontation.

I have not once tried to justify his actions, the bloke deserves everything he gets. She did however provoke him in the first instance.
Right. The first instance wasn't the bloke walking out in front of her then?
