dunno if this fits on this thread... and you've maybe read it elsewhere already, but google "labour are" and see the autocomplete options, then "libdems are", "snp are" "ukip are"

then try "tories are" or "conservatives are"

bing, yahoo etc all offer negative autocomplete options for the tories as well as the other parties, but google don't

strange that...
That is probably because the conservative/Tory ones where too foul mouthed to show, they also don't do auto-complete for the liberal democrats, possibly for the same reason (they where in the coalition) so I suspect that you have proved the accuracy of this thread.

"libdems are" works fine

you're saying that people only search for "tories are" followed by offensive swearwords?

not 'nazis' for example, or 'scum' like the other parties' autocompletes? or like the autocompletes on bing and yahoo?

Back on topic, it appears the left are such bad losers that they even attack their own side....

I think the point was that Hillary is not on their side.

To be honest I think threads like this just serve to demonstrate that the left and the right are equally intolerant of other peoples views.

People say that those on the left get aggressive etc (and that's a point I know several who do) however the right are the same, but its sort of smug condescension rather than aggression (which you see all the time round these 'ere parts). Its not any more tolerant!

We are all as bad as eachother in our own ways.
Aye!
Don't many/ most people have views and beliefs that transcend both camps? Therefore those that seek to identify as left or right are more confrontational, more dogmatic, perhaps less rational and more intolerant of views that differ from their own?

It's interesting that Stop the War Coalition/Socialist Workers Party type groups are refusing to march against Russia's actions in Syria. Bloke on the radio today said they "don't want to contribute to the jingoism being whipped up against Russia" and they don't march against Russia because they "can only influence policy in the U.K.". However, that doesn't stop them taking to the streets to condemn America, Israel and others.

The British government are strongly allied with the US and Israel, they aren't with Russia.

Milo Yiannopoulos event canceled after violence erupts

"Amid an apparently organized violent attack and destruction of property at UC Berkeley’s Martin Luther King Jr. Student Union, the UC Police Department (UCPD) determined it was necessary to evacuate controversial speaker Milo Yiannopoulos from campus and to cancel his scheduled 8 p.m. performance. Yiannopoulos had been invited by the Berkeley College Republicans"

It makes you wonder who is / are the fascist/s here.

The right wing journalist / editor trying to make a speech he has been invited to make or the liberals smashing the place up trying to silence him?

Milo is not a fascist, he's worse than that, he's an attention we and no one would have been happier his speech was cancelled and violence broke out than him.

Such irony

On another note, Harman was pulled up on Woman's Hour yesterday for unnecessarily demonising Thatcher. A typical trait.

Fascists are roughly the same as Marxists they just wear nicer uniforms. Just like feudalists, islamists and other theocratic movements, they are all collectivist movements and all derive power from violence in the end.

When you look at the largesse that's developed within higher education (in the UK also) and the politically skewed sandboxes the education elites have constructed, it is rather a question of whether that is an appropriate or proportional use of public funds.

As it was in 1968...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/May_1968_events_in_F...

Students i.e 18 - 19 year old kids probably shouldn't know better, in fact it's their role to not know better. POTUS should perhaps have a rather wiser, rounded and well informed opinion.

I don't know what college and uni campuses are like in the US or the UK, I've heard things some of which I believe most of which I consider to be hyperbole, but I'm pretty sure the vast majority of students are there to learn and work through their mistakes in relative safety, that is what education is.
